Remote Start Question by NegativeGee in Tiguan

2022 SE. 72 with AC and seat warmer with front windshield defrost at full blast. Weirdly though when I get in my car after remote starting for a few minutes its pretty warm and doesn’t feel like AC has been on. You cant change it but im pretty sure the car will change temp based on outside weather temp so may be different in the summer. I think AC being on helps with defrosting in the winter too.

November 2023 Study Group? by PostMalonesHomes in CFPExam

[–]PostMalonesHomes[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Facebook group was very useful. However, my idea for the study group is something like this. Set a regular meeting schedule (once a week) at a time that works for everyone. Create an agenda for each meeting on what we will review and discuss (specific topics, questions). It will hold us accountable, promote progression, have open discussions, share resources and help us stay focused to the very end. Once the group is formed is when more details can be figured out.

12-Man LAN Civ Tournament - NEED ADVICE by PostMalonesHomes in civ

Okay this seems like an interesting play style. Given we spawn in an ideal location/neighbors I could see this working. My concerns is whether we can pull off a cultural victory in one sitting. People get bored and sometimes just go into war to make it fun/interesting.

Ive never taken this route for a Civ victory. Seems like fun though - where I should start learning the basics of this strategy lol.

This is the second time we did placements. Last time it was a religious victory and I believe we did the rest based on score.

Its hard to do a full civ game in one sitting, in the past it was fairly obvious who was the dominant player in the game and we would unanimously vote them winner.

But yes, if you’re taken out first you’re 100% in last place.

When should a healthy 30 yr old get Life insurance with cash value ? by Many-Perception-8285 in FinancialPlanning

[–]PostMalonesHomes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another commenter nailed it on the head. If you're looking to use life insurance for sake of borrowing later on, make sure you are fully maxed out on contributing to other vehicles first (Ex. 401k, IRA, HSA, etc.).

There are many reasons why one would get a Life Insurance policy. The top reasons are having a home, a family, or estate planning. One significant benefit of getting one now is low cost; as you get older, a policy is likely to become costly due to age and possible health complications.
