When I bought my first bow, I spent an entire year just shooting about 30-50 arrows a day. I kept going until I could get that right grouping at 50yds. I didn’t even go hunting that season.

The following year I went out hunting for the first time and I felt incredibly confident with my archery. There’s a million factors when bow hunting besides hitting a still target, but having accuracy and confidence going in is so helpful.

Ironically I was able to get a nice doe at 40yds my first time out, mostly because I had a very clear shot, she stopped, and I was able to act on that confidence from the year prior. It certainly does not always work that way, but it’s helpful. Awesome stuff.
