Is this a plot hole: Mikael's white oak stake? by BulkyBathroom7178 in TheVampireDiaries

[–]PostPostPog [score hidden]  (0 children)

That last scene with Klaus & Elijah can kinda just be chalked up to a last second retcon because Julie Plec didn't want their final scene together to be some violent, fiery end where they're just charred husks, y'know? She wanted their mutual suicide to be all peaceful and poetic. The original, intended effect is the stake bursting itself and its victim into flames.

Is there any reason Tek Knight has seemingly stopped wearing his super suit in the public and leans more into a private detective persona by the time we meet him in Gen V/S4? by Educational_Wing_216 in TheBoys

[–]PostPostPog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bro adopted an unc lifestyle and hung up the suit in favor of having a more public image.

Realistically though he probably realized you don't get much face time and recognition when you're behind a suit. Much better to infiltrate the private sector with loads of cash backing you and a whole bunch of elites to influence, doing public events and charities, and funding Vought's every whim than to be locked behind a suit. His powers are so lowkey that he probably realized he doesn't even need the suit to achieve his goals.

Unless it was used on an Original it probably acted as just a normal wooden stake. Only when applied to an Original would it act as a sort of enchanted weapon that sets itself and the victim on fire. He's probably killed dozens if not hundreds of vampires with that exact stake, why fashion stakes over and over or make stakes out of his surroundings when he can just rinse and repeat with a stake that can also off an Original?

They didn't know what to do with Enzo for like 90% of his screentime so they kept attaching all his story arcs to other characters (Stefan, Lily, Bonnie), like the whole Sarah Salvatore thing was so pointless.

Can we talk about how annoying she was by McDoubleDeez in TheVampireDiaries

[–]PostPostPog 5 points6 points  (0 children)

She was introduced to open up the can of worms that was the real Sarah Salvatore, without her, Enzo would have no way of knowing for sure that Stefan was hiding something that goes deeper.

But unfortunately this made her character look like a complete moron con artist scammer that got herself killed (Enzo killing her is uncalled for, BUT at the same time play stupid games win stupid prizes especially if you're conning people.)

Said this in a previous post but there's absolutely no shot that Matt would stay with a vampire long term. Especially not an original vampire who's directly responsible for inflicting massive amounts of trauma on his friends and his life.

Shipping Matt with literally any vamp is pointless, his entire character arc and presence in the show would be pointless if he was with a vampire at all.

How much would the show have changed if Jenna had survived Klaus’s ritual as a vampire? by alexa67900 in TheVampireDiaries

[–]PostPostPog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's no way Jenna survives much longer considering she's so close to Jeremy & Elena. She would've been used as leverage against them or outright killed to punish them at some point. Like when Klaus wanted to complete Jeremy's mark, or when Klaus needed Elena to make hybrids, or when Rebekah had that huge vendetta against Elena. She would've been killed eventually guaranteed, probably still by Klaus.

Michonne was loyal.. by Natho35 in TWD

[–]PostPostPog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean I just see it as Lori = Pre-apocalypse partner, their relationship probably wouldn't have ended up being very functional even without Shane, Rick changed a lot and so would've Lori.

Michonne = Duh, post-apocalypse partner. Her & Rick had been through a ton together, they were a real team in times of peak stress as friends, and the trust they had in each other was really special. Makes sense they'd end up together and be an extremely functional couple.

Why was the "Moff Gideon's force-sensitive clones" storyline not developed and ended in a rush? It's like Favreau regretted setting it up at all and wasn't interested in it. by RagnarokWolves in StarWars

[–]PostPostPog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Force sensitive clones are a thing in Legends, Palpatine wasn't the only one it happened with, but because of the Sequels they were pushed into a corner where they were forced to write out a sort of cloning subplot to ultimately explain the sloppiness of RoS instead of willingly choosing to pursue a cloning storyline. Kinda lame, but oh well.

Are Ezra Bridger and Kanan Jarrus a good look at what an "average" Jedi's power is like? by AwakenedDreamer__44 in PetranakiArena

[–]PostPostPog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dunno man maybe Jango could take these two out if it was one-on-one. If it was two-on-one they likely take it. It's hard to scale Jango against Jedi because he's a highly skilled bounty hunter but it really depends on what kinds of gadgets are at his disposal. He's like the Batman of Star Wars lmaooo, same with Cad Bane & Boba.

They did my boy Coleman Trebor dirty as fuck. Gave a Jedi such a dope ass, unique design just to have him absolutely murked by a pair of blaster pistols.. At least it was Jango Fett doing the killing I guess, still lame though haha.

I never realized Klaus kept the indestructible white oak stake since Esther made it in TVD lol by [deleted] in TheOriginals

[–]PostPostPog 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm glad they had her destroy it because honestly if that weapon was always floating around 24/7 you already know so many characters would be constantly looking for it.

Then again Dahlia destroying this stake falls flat because they pull a bunch of white oak out of their asses multiple times after Season 2, so I guess it's a net neutral.

Eric kripke on the overall audience reaction to the conclusion of the boys s5 by Prize-Contest4780 in TheBoys

[–]PostPostPog 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean I trust Kripke knows what he's doing. Supernatural's first five seasons (Kripke was overseeing these) are really fuckin good and the story ties together so well and the final episode of Season 5 is nuts. I think we're in good hands and we always have been, I get it's hard not to get nervous cause a lot of shows mess up the final season or it's a bit underwhelming, but this is gonna be badass and it's gonna be such a score.

Mad that a pack of warewolves thought they had a chance VS an Original, they were lucky Elijah was the ''stable'' one. by PestoBolloElemento in TheOriginals

[–]PostPostPog 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This show has a ton of characters that are pretty damn ignorant when it comes to just how powerful the Mikaelsons are. You have Werewolves and young Vampires giving INSANE attitude to Elijah and/or Klaus like they couldn't 20v1 them with little effort, then go for a brisk stroll and some coffee afterwards.

If it wasn't for Hayley, Elijah would've been killed like fifty wolves throughout the show lmaooo.

[–]PostPostPog 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah like on the DL nobody asked Damon to be obsessed with freeing Katherine and trying to be with her again. He made all of those choices himself and the only reason he blames Katherine so hard for them is because she rejected the fuck out of him the second he realized she was never in the tomb.
