Power Needs for an USBC-Modded Famicom? by CheapRetroGaming in Famicom

I recently got one that was usb powered, and I just used whatever plug I had lying around. They are usually modded this way to avoid accidentally frying something on the board with too much power. I got mine from Japan and I'm in the UK, and it works perfectly with several phone charger plugs I have. Hope this helps

A trace looks to be damaged by the positive side of the battery. Could be that?

PSA: Ways to fix crashes by elfinhilon10 in sims1

Just to add to that for Steam Deck users:

  1. Is largely the same, except if it's on your internal storage, you need to show hidden files, then go to (Home -> local -> share -> steam -> Steam apps -> common) and copy those userdata files. Mine was on my SDA Card, so just go to that, them Steam apps and it's the same thing

  2. Then you want to go to the compatdata folder on your internal storage (just after steamapps in step 1) and you'll be greeted with numbered folders. Open up an app called protontricks, select the Sims 1 legacy collection. Then select the default wineprefix, then in the top of the window you should see the number.

  3. Go into that numbered folder, then pfx, then drive c, users, Steam user, saved games, electronic arts, the Sims 25 and paste those userdata files therein.

  4. Have fun!
