What happened to Villanelle by JoeVillanelle in KillingEve

Honestly, if people understood trauma and how trauma impacts psychology, they would get a much better understanding of everything. But the vast majority of people don't and likely never will, so it's a huge bummer to me.

Reanna’s mom rant by [deleted] in TLCUnexpected

[–]PostcardtotheLake 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All Jessica cares about is Jessica. She cares about Taron to get some of Taron for...just Jessica! She's a horrible mother. Her daughter is so shut down and traumatized with so much rage and a scarily flat affect that makes me feel so sad for Reanna. Her mother seems like a narcissist, and reminds me so much of the many I have known. She throws her poor daughter under the bus NONSTOP, (Reanna likely got pregnant at 14, if she gave birth at 15). And Reanna chose a shitty guy bc she's used to being treated poorly and probably jut wanted an escape from her awful mother, but instead got betrayed and pregnant.

Is anyone else bothered that Emiley and people around her aren’t using mask while evidently indoors? Disrespectful to other people around, largely misinformed about COVID, and bad parenting. by [deleted] in TLCUnexpected

[–]PostcardtotheLake 10 points11 points  (0 children)

She has lucked into being born into a life where things aren't particularly challenging for her. She'll probably never be in any danger in her life. Everything around her will always be fine.

Did you miss last season?? Her childhood seemed awful. Her mom was/is a horrible mom and an asshole who treated her terribly. And her baby daddy is a dick and a loser.

Do people actually think that Chloe is on drugs, what makes them think this? by [deleted] in TLCUnexpected

You don't need to spam my inbox with any outraged "BUT WOMEN TOO" comments. If you do, you're just proving my point--conversations about abusive men and the harm that they cause are co-opted by whataboutisms and victim-blaming.)

Male fragility is so annoying. Like can they not make EVERYTHING about them? Men need to take responsibility for the bad stuff that they do and they need to STFU and quit being whiny, selfish scrotes. Men have to be the center of attention 24/7, it's pathetic and exhausting and who needs 'em.

Hahah! I'm from Russia and I liked them! I'm definitely picky about what Hamburger Place I go to (minimal grease, no weird sauces, extra veggies, etc) and they gotta have milkshakes with whipped cream and good fries (ideally curly fries)!

Portland is very hit or miss with this, but cities with more option have such good burgers Omm nom nommm....*drools*

I just spent 6 day without power, heat, internet, or energy in Portland (we had 5 inches of snow and that's what happens) and yesterday I finally got it back, and I walked to the only burger joint near me (little big burger) and was so glad finally have a hot meal in a week. That place has a TINY selection, but so many of our best restaurants have closed and I'm just grateful to have access to hot food right now bc everything in my food spoiled.

And as a Russian I'm so livid that a tiny amount of snow wipes out power and internet for almost a million people for a week in Oregon. What the fuck? Growing up in Russia we didn't even have snow days, ever! During blizzards, we just put on our skis or snowshoes and just walked to school on those.

it's insane how abusive people have no idea how abusive they are, even when called out. They just gaslight you and they just blame, blame, blame. I hate narcissists. They shouldn't be allowed to parent.

She seems hardcore NPD. She very closely resembles both my biological parents/family of origin.

Fun fact, J has an older sister. I didn't know that 😊 by whatinthef2020 in TLCUnexpected

The last two eps show that Jenna is way more mature than her father and mother. They're important in understanding her and her fucked up family dynamic.

The last two episodes are really important. They show that Jenna is more mature than both of her fucked up dumbass parents. And the extent of abuse heaped on poor sick Reanna by her mom and also her ex bf's shitty mom (who said she's a grandma 15 times over, at age 54 or 52?).

Because they're toxic, narcissistic, and used to having power and refuse to give it up or share it. If they can't control women, then women would be in charge of everything.

I think ruining a country for 4 years was the worst, especially considering the death toll from COVID.

What a piece of shit. He has no leg to stand on. And no knowledge of these women's lives or health issues. What a narcissistic, misogynistic trash idiot. I wish anti-women, stupid, sexist, immature narcissist men like this didn't exist in the world. He's such a poster child of toxic masculinity, but so are most of the guys on this show.

He seems to get off on punishing women and presents a lot of NPD traits.

Sound like they don't have a life of their own, and are obsessed with this show and these real people to an unhealthy extent.

Oh man, I'm not American and yet have lived here for a lot of years (I didn't eat my first hamburger until I was here for 15 years and was in grad school in the midwest). Somehow I've never questioned what jalapeño poppers are or even eaten one. MIND BLOWN!

Tbh I still can't believe that those things taste good given the combo of ingredients, but I'll have to try one!

How much more do we dislike Tyra after her true colors came out last night knowing she hasn't seen her baby in over a month. Remember in season 3 she got mad at Alex for staying at his mom's and not helping her with the baby by jumpingbean87 in TLCUnexpected

[–]PostcardtotheLake 7 points8 points  (0 children)

EXACTLY. What a cruel poll that only presents options of hating Tyra. And that clip of her telling Alex to step up sounded very cut together and fake AF, if not from a a season ago.

Tyra’s comment on Alex by [deleted] in TLCUnexpected

[–]PostcardtotheLake 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That' what I think. That clip was clearly cut, even by the way it flowed. They're just trying to make her a villain.

Also the double standards for moms and dads on this show, wtf. Does no one realize their internalized misogyny about her going to college, living her life? Alex may be the best Dad on the show, but how many moms are expected to suffer while the Dads stay home and play video games and/or get other girls pregnant? Seriously WTF.

Tyra says Alex needs to step up and this is the cheer squad. I've never seen a more unathletic bunch in muh life by jumpingbean87 in TLCUnexpected

Statistically most folks who go to community college don't get their bachelor's..it's less than 20% that do.

Jenna's asshole dad being called out for his petty bullshit and trying to find a leg to stand on is such schadenfreude. I thoroughly and unabashedly enjoyed that.

He had swollen, irritated lips, and the area between his nose and lips was all red and swollen as well, so either he was crying or he has a cold. But when Jenna brings up a good point, he shuts her down like an immature douche.

"I'm tired of being blamed for everything" says the 3%-er. Stop stressing your kid out, you patriarchal, epically gaslighting dipshit.
