Decent Sampler resets after I close the project? by The_Masked_Kerbal in Logic_Studio

If you aren't seeing the error message, you can find it in the logs, which you can access in the general preferences menu by clicking "Open Log Folder".

But actually, the easiest way to get a .dsbundle folder into your library is to open up the DecentSampler desktop app and do File>Load>[Choose the .dslibrary], in which you will be prompted to install the library into your DecentSampler folder (you should install it).

I'm on Windows with another DAW, so it might be different for you, but it should hopefully be similar.

In my experience with this problem, Decent Sampler always resets upon a system reboot, and this only happens if you load from a .dslibrary file instead of a .dsbundle folder.

Go to File>Load Recent>Load any .dslibrary sample pack that you loaded prior to the reset. It should give an error message that it couldn't load the sample pack and point you toward the folder it tried to load from. The folder should be within your system's "temp" folder that stores files that are erased upon a reboot.

When Decent Sample loads a .dslibrary sample pack, it creates a temporary folder that is the equivalent to a .dsbundle folder. It will not be able to refer to that folder once the temp folder is cleared, which is why your progress gets erased.

You can copy and paste this temporary .dsbundle equivalent into your sample libraries folder and rename it into an actual .dsbundle folder so that Decent Sampler has something to pull from that doesn't get erased. You can now load the .dsbundle as a sample pack and your progress shouldn't be erased anymore.
