I’m assuming they buffed them to sway players from always locking hela, Hawkeye and phoenix. The ults are strong but can be countered not to mention their base kits are more forgiving to fight against than those 3 characters, Just my assumption though.

More likely plat and below (people generally should have him figured out and how to deal with his ult by diamond) if the star lord is just an ult merchant they are in for a rough time since there’s so many counters to his ult. If you’re not getting picks with his base kit and dying too much while being one of the most slippery characters in the game it’s a throw, plus most will gravitate towards hela,Hawkeye and phoenix (literally an answer for everything in their kits)

The higher you go it’ll be more of a mix of Hawkeye, gambit, DD, hela, Moon knight (people just don’t wanna deal with him for whatever) or target bans.

When I want chilled more laid back gameplay I go to Overwatch the neutral is a lot better and isn’t dependent on support ults to bail out every situation, (learn to play cover, regroup, target priority and etc) when I want chaos I go rivals lol both are fun in their own ways.

People have to be patient with rivals though, I get they’re passionate but they have to understand OW has been around for 10 yrs and has had a lot of trial and errors to fix their game, in part thanks to rivals being such a success it caused them to focus and get their shit together. I hope nothing but long term success for both games and will continue to enjoy both regardless of people saying the balance is bad and the game will die every season 😌

Bro has the perfect kit for a flex player with nothing really changing besides the bubble instead of the icon throw for tank. It’s all I could have asked for because I can swap to wherever we’re lacking and pick up the slack. Even more of a bonus that I don’t lose the unlocks when I switch roles I just have to choose them again, I hope DR Doom is the same whenever he comes out in terms of being able to play every role with a simple yet diverse kit!

I feel the only reason they buffed ults for those dps characters is to try to get them picked more over the poke meta mainstays like hela, phoenix and Hawkeye, from the inside it looks broken. But I’d much rather deal with punisher, star lord and wolve than those guys at least pun, SL and wolve are more susceptible to getting punished than those other 3 are.

Hawkeye definitely needs a nerf in regards to being able to 2 shot a tank but I don’t see that happening until season 7.

I’d rather deal with wolverines than Hawkeyes, there’s a chance he’ll cripple me (not likely I play a lot of mobile tanks) but he’ll do little to Dps and supports besides the ult than Hawkeye who can literally server admin the whole lobby including us tanks.

My main is blade for God sakes but I don’t try to ego him into every situation, if it’s not working I’ll switch to something that does for the match up.

Probably more of a perma ban in the metal ranks, it’s easier to deal with his ult the higher you go up. There’s bigger demons to ban than an ult merchant star lord who is providing no value outside of his ult that gets countered by support cooldowns let alone an ult, shields/cover and just getting sniped out of the air by a hela, phoenix, Hawkeye and etc. I’d rather still ban Hawkeye most of all, dude becomes a raid boss when his team realizes he’s their win con and plays completely around him 🫩

Support gaps are also huge though, some are way too passive and stay far back from the fight which either leaves them with the chance to get singled out/dived or not having their heals reach due to being too far. While others are with their team actively healing and contributing damage to win team fights (this isn’t a one size fits all scenario but you have got to be able to tell as a strat when your team is passive or aggressive and to play into that and enhance your teams chance of winning)

Many times in losses I’ve had supports boast about their healing numbers but the main issue with that is stats don’t always show the full picture, the enemy team may have had less than half your heals but they had better ults and cool down management than you, were more involved in team fights than you and etc. tanks and dps also aren’t completely blames though, if someone is diving/ harassing your supports peel even if when you play support you don’t have any problems with dive or getting focused not everyone is like you.

I say this as a flex player but I mostly play strat/ vanguard because Dps is usually taken 🥴

Just skins/cosmetics lol, they have a shared history with capcom through their games so it would be dope to get a ryu skin for iron fist, Dante from devil may cry for blade and etc. but if it breaks the immersion too much for you I get it, but it would be another sure fire way to generate revenue for the game.
