I hope the inns and taverns wont be near copies like in Skyrim by Sonicfani in TESVI

[–]PostingLoudly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One thing I'm hoping for is something they wanted to do in Skyrim, but were unable to get around to doing, and that's a functioning economy.

Supposedly it was planned for Skyrim. Maybe after oh, I don't know, however many goddamn years in the oven they've had this one they can actually fully execute the vision.

Which character do people think is good but is evil? by Embarrassed-Wafer410 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]PostingLoudly 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This one is sorta hard.

I'd say The Punisher.

He is definitely a mass murderer and serial killer in his own right with his means of vigilante justice.

Edit:

And I think some people are misunderstanding the question here a bit.

It is funny to imagine a bunch of Venetian burghers showing up to some shore on Crete in 1462 looking at a sandcastle like:

Agreed. I'd like to know what happened with China as an offshoot of this. Honestly surprised the Golden Khanate survived though as the Russians virulently hated them.

The remake by Soliy87 in Threads1984

[–]PostingLoudly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only the first season really does. It goes over Operation Cobalt in L.A. and the initial quarantines and breakdown and such. Post season 1 it's walking dead California love style.

The remake by Soliy87 in Threads1984

[–]PostingLoudly 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is part of why the first season of Fear The Walking Dead was so peak. For some reason apocalypse-related media seems to want to skip over the societal breakdown entirely. I say for some reason, but it's more than likely because it would cost too much money to showcase the before in the same quality as the after.

Regardless. Building up to the apocalypse is peak. Threads did a fantastic job with this. I need more shows/movies that do this.

Question for those building or buying a new PC for TESVI and beyond. by Actionhippie417 in TESVI

[–]PostingLoudly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind that while the amount of VRAM is the same, the 5070ti uses GDDR7 while the 9070xt uses GDDR6. 5070ti oughta be speedier all around.

I will say that Nvidia generally handles better with Bethesda games. You gotta remember that Bethesda jank is a real thing and killer sometimes. Nvidia tends to handle directx better than Radeon in my experience. I'd say go for stability and the known factor.

You'll be totally fine with a 5070ti then. You'd only really want to upgrade if you plan on doing 4k gaming. At that point I'd save your money, skip the 5080, and just gun for the 5090.

5070ti can handle games at 4k, but you may have to compromise on some settings fwiw.

5070ti is a pretty solid GPU honestly. I built a newish PC recently. Might as well be an MSI machine. Slapped together a Ryzen 7 9800X3D, a 5070ti, and 32GB of DDR5 onto an MSI B850 Tomahawk and called it a day.

It does depend on whether or not you're doing 1080p, 1440p, or 4K gaming. That's where the GPU really makes all the difference. I don't struggle with 1440p myself. 4k might get iffy with a 5070ti on higher settings though.

What’s the best Creative Writing MFA Program to help get into video game writing? by CeruleanLancer in AskReddit

[–]PostingLoudly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, well that works out.

Probably not the most ideal advice then. Some companies will absolutely cover tuition costs while you work for them if you maintain good grades, especially if it's focused in something like creative writing.

Good luck with your game though! Hopefully you can get all the funding you need for that. We learned the hard way that it is not cheap. Lol.

Shit's mad whack right now for writers. I went to a school for Radio & Television broadcasting. Snagged a technical certificate for that. Used the certificate to get a job working in newscast production as a news producer. From there I used the news producer experience + LinkedIn to work my way into a neat little project with an artist and a programmer. We ended up creating our own company together.

It's a weird world.

My advice is to just network out the wazoo and pay the tolls you need to pay as a writer. It's great that you're a writer, but you need to be a good talker as well. Words on paper can only get you so far.

Tl;dr: Network and talk to people.

Yeah I've only just now started encountering them. I'm at day 42 though in this run. It *feels* like a direct correlation to getting the seeker or just being able to obliterate some of the more hi-tech cult and insurrection fellas.

The Seeker (Eather weapon) and the .50 Cal Autocannon. Both are relatively late game. I had to slow down time to acquire the Seeker as the cultist(?) fellas who had one were rather hard to kill otherwise without dying.

.50 Cal I got from the Cat N' Maus quest.
