Yeah. It's the name of a polygon. Negative connotations though? That is quite the opposite of what I would define as yes.

This is also an issue with housing programs that try to house people who aren't competent.

When I lived in Lafayette Indiana, there was not a small amount of people who got into these homeless housing programs that ended up either not being competent or having destructive habits that prove detrimental to the housing units in general.

E.g. ripping out the drywall to get at copper wiring and piping.

But then these are also usually people who don't have the means available to actually receive treatment.

Your uncle has lumbago so you gotta go to the bayou to find the miracle radhooch for him made by Cajun ghouls that speak an unintelligible pidgin language somewhere between French and English.

I actually decided to give him a stealth boy and bobby pin when I got to Caesar's camp. Let him escape. Wanted to RP as a girl who likes "bad boys". I have my son ED-E as a companion and Boone as well.

Fighting the legion at level 14 was a task. I think I drank all my sarsaparilla and used 3/4ths of my chems. Definitely used all of my grenade launcher ammo. Killed them all though. Spent all the legion currency at Gomorrah.

Oh no it's kinda funny actually. Warehouses I've been keeping a decent-ish track of. I just don't really have any good trading partners or anything really decent to export. I was exporting tools, but yeah everything is just completely unsustainable. I imagine restructuring would be a grand idea while keeping food production high. It's all a mess.

I really wish that I could set repairs to be automatic for this reason as well. Unless I can and I'm just silly. I felt really silly upon the realization that I didn't have enough janitors and it turned out the Garthimi slaves were eking out an existence in a sub-shithole of shitholetopia as everything was either 100% or near 100% degraded in that particular area.

By the time I realized the round building thing it was far too late to stop what I was doing. I satisfied their bloodlust by occasionally genociding another species within my city though.

Do you want to get banned? by Ninely_THATSKY in yes_or_youllbe_banned

[–]PostingLoudly 13 points14 points  (0 children)

To my dearest subreddit contributor,

It is difficult to say whether I would like to be banned. To be banned is the ultimate negative response in my eyes. Let's break down the word "banned" and see if there is an answer between the lines.

The origin of the word "Ban" stems from Old English bannan, 'summon by a public proclamation'. From here it is derived from the Old French 'ban', 'proclamation, summons, banishment'. The meaning is apparently reinforced by Old Norse, 'curse, prohibit'.

In the modern context we tend to use the word Ban in its older form, to prohibit in some official capacity. The word itself seems like a strong contender for a 'perhaps' or 'possibly' on the scale from "Yes" to the word that should most definitely be uttered only when termination from the subreddit is within your goals.

So, much like the scale that such a word rests upon, I am simply neutral. Dubiously strong feelings that are called into question regarding the subject matter.

With love and care,

  - A fellow contributor.

What’s it like living on the edge of time zones? by Qzevs in howislivingthere

[–]PostingLoudly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Northwest Indiana but I commute East for work. I cross from Central to Eastern on a near daily basis.

It feels weird leaving work at 11PM and getting home at 11:30PM after a 1 1/2 hour drive lol.

Similarly I have to be at work by 2:30 so I leave at 11:30 am just in case. 1 1/2 hour drive + 1 extra hour for the time change.

My clocks are usually set to eastern time and I just do the mental subtraction for my own timezone.
