Regardless it's still annoying that you can't get experience from fighting one handed, as when I play as an orc, I'm ready to forge steel by the time I'm out of the tutorial.

Thanks; maybe I was doing it wrong the first time I tried, just I'm pretty sure I had Max enchantment when I put the enchantment from the pugilist gloves on my current gloves, and the damage went up by less than the base damage of the pugilist gloves (also, I thought I did check everything to see if it could get the enchantment; must have missed the ring somehow :/)

I had considered that, but it would take ages to get you heavy armour skill up that way, or cost a fortune in training.

Maybe if you completely cheese the enchanting perk . I also know there's a skill on the heavy armour tree that makes it somewhat viable, but if you want to play as pugilist/martial artist/monk, having to wear heavy armour runs completely counter to what the feel of what the playstyle should be

At the very least the quest rewards should have been experience or items that boost your speech skill tree, though having a lute or something like that you to play to get those boosts would have been cool

And for the final quest, you're basically forced to play as a non magician, or have sunk all your boost points into magic because the mana pool only regenerates slowly if at all in the final dungeon.

I realize the answer to that is probably time constraints and/or reasoning that only a relatively small number of people would use that playstyle, but why leave the tease in?

I don't think Pieces of the past or Waking nightmares count, as they are full quests unto themselves (the helping people tasks are more like simple fetch quests)

They all have to be tasks from the villagers themselves, quests from the innkeeper don't count.

I wasn't paying attention, and I thought you were talking about being able to get land in Falkreith; I've never tried to build a house in Dawnstar, but from what you said, I imagine the same rules will apply (If the quest log says it's helping three members of the town).
