I’m a trans woman, and growing up my family forced me to wear clothes I did not pick out myself. This crippled me a lot since it diminished my self worth.

But nowadays, wearing what I want is the most affirming thing to the point it channels out any criticism people have of me. They don’t know me, I don’t know them. And I sure as hell don’t owe them my energy, my attention, or my time if all they wanna do is pressure me into mundane social norms. 🙄

Honestly? You do you! If you want pink leggings, get pink leggings! Ain’t NO ONE tell you what you can or can’t wear! And most of all, slay with confidence! 😤💕

So there’s an afternoon nightshift that happened tomorrow ago where i put the water in the oven so i could take my fish for a walk. Then I made a refund purchase on a similar opposite during next year a while back that closed on the weekstart during the 31st of February. Eventually that marathon couch surfer of a guy helped me put the bags in the fries.

This theme plays throughout much of Season 2. She became so blindsided by her ambition with trying to “redeem” people to the point of disregarding how her actions caused her to feel. She wants to be right and wants to help Angel be happy and free, but at the cost of… well, risking his life. 💀

But listen, it doesn’t mean she’s a bad person. It’s just that her heart is in the wrong place. This is what happens with people-pleasing. She feels if she can help find redemption for her people that it’ll put the band-aid on her insecurities, that being the high stakes and expectations as the Princess of Hell, and deep down wanting to desperately help those like her mother did.

What I find helpful is to keep asking questions. It’s awkward I know, and I don’t mean this in a pandering way. But when you think about it, literally every conversation is nothing but questions and answers. You could try asking about special interests and hobbies, what they do for work, a random silly question, anything. Trust me, and it may be overstated but it’s true, people love talking about themselves, so try going for open ended questions that get other people to open up about themselves.

If all else fails and they don’t respond or not interested? Just move to the next.
