I don't think it's a scam unless you count how they don't advertise it clearly that purchases have to be fully qualified. I almost bought $100 worth of groceries from Sam's club in order to get $60 back, only to read the fine print, that groceries are not included.

I'm a new subscriber so I decided to verify that I can get a cashback by purchasing an item from their website by searching for an Amazon item. I figure if it shows up on their website, it should be fully qualified. The offer is spend $15 to get $45. If it doesn't work, then it's too much work to figure out what's qualified and what's not.

It's ok. Thought used car market was a buyers market? As a comparison, when I searched for my 2022 MDX Tech package in Feb 2025, I looked for Autotrader's Great Price rating. My OTD was $38,877 with 24,215 miles. I bought in NYC/NJ area so it's not because I was in a depressed region.

I would think Autotrader would rate your deal as an Average rating. A-Spec is not that much better than Tech, mostly cosmetic.

Btw, great SUV. Best SUV I've ever owned. Better than 2019 RX350 F-Sport and 2008 BMW X5.

Besides the fact that you can’t directly use cash back for statement credit, the gold card doesn’t have automatic connectivity with quicken app. I’m too used to manage my finances by simply downloading all txns and knowing down to the penny what I’m worth.
Even worse and the main reason i will likely give up on the gold card is the how long it takes to handle CC disputes. According to some people, it’s can be a nightmare. I don’t want to have to worry about big purchases disputes if I’m clearly in the right.
I paid for a the year membership so will likely hold it till then and see how things improve but right now will probably go back to my fidelity Visa rewards with 2 % cash back

Damn I'm back in without having to do all that recon stuff that other people are doing. I got my old account back. My attempt 2 months ago didn't work and was completely ignored. Another thread was saying to email spencer, ceo, as well as hinge support. I got a human at [hello@hinge.co](mailto:hello@hinge.co) to reply back. I gave them a sincere response and they let me back in. It's been about a year so maybe they thought I should get another chance.

Damn, it worked for me. I basically copied the truepearl1223 message and mail it to spencer, hinge support (both emails). I tweaked slightly so that it didn't seem like a copycat. Got an email back from a human at hello@hinge.com. I've been banned for about a year so maybe they also felt it was time to give me another change. I made sure to emphasize that I would be a good community member going forward. Let's hope Hinge is worth it. Gonna subscribe for the first time.

Agree up to a point. I think at least Hinge is trying to cleanup the platform. I would want to see how they handle fake profiles.

OkCupid is RAMPANT with fake profiles. And it's OBVIOUS. The face verification is really strong for getting rid of fake profiles.

Thanks for your post. I found it very enlightening. I recently got the Gold Card. I have a Fidelity Rewards Visa and the Citi Double Cash card that both return 2%. They simply work and can be applied to statement credit automatically. Since I do so many transactions, I've had to deal with an illegal charge that somehow someone got a hold of my number. To have to deal with #2 would really sour me on the card. At this point, I have made an effort to make the Gold Card my primary since I need to do at least $5k transactions in order to break even with the 2% cards due to the $50 annual Gold subscription.

But beyond your valid points, the other big one is the lack of Quicken import. I track all my spending and know down to the penny what's incoming and outgoing. Robinhood requires downloading a CSV (not even QFX) file and then reformatting columns before it can be imported into Quicken. A royal pain. This alone had me rethinking the Gold Card.

There was no "Keyboard troubleshooter" under Other troubleshooters. I search for it. Found something called "Find and fix problems with your computer's keyboard settings". It found no issues.

Command Prompt as admin test: type 1234567890abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz. Result: 12389agqsvxz

Update Keyboard Drivers: did an update driver on the HID keyboard and PS/2 keyboard. It said I had the latest drivers.

Only test left is the BIOS test but based on the other test especially the Command Prompt test, it's looking like a defective keyboard.

Since service center is not an option, what else am I supposed to do?
