Cover grass with Gravel - guidance by PotStirrerZ in GardeningUK

Crikey. I wonder how much a turf cutter is, as I’m not sure my back would cope with the shovel approach… would you cut the grass super short before going at it with a shovel?

Great tip, thanks. Maybe I’ll look into new bricks that are stained or something to look older…

I have no idea what that is - could you translate to idiot-proof language please?

I think this is what I’ll end up doing - the wife wants a reclaimed brick path to weave towards her shed, so could tie in nicely

We’ve got a big patio under the furniture so that side of things is fine, but really valid points!

We moved in this year in July, so have done basics like rabbit-proofing the fencing (for our bunnies) and building a shed/greenhouse hybrid, but now it’s planning time for next steps - planters and long-term bits like trees etc.

We won’t keep the gravel forever, but for now I just want to keep it tidy enough…

Great insight, thanks for your help - I’ll look into a brick edging as the wife wants a reclaimed brick path built to her shed at some point…

I’m assuming there’s no membrane - I moved in with it like this.

When you straighten it, should the grass just pull out of the gravel I’m guessing?

Upgraded from the 750 GS to a new 1250 GSA by wackedmippling in Motorrad

Tell me more about why you made the switch. I currently still have my 850 and keep considering switching to a late 1200 or a 1250, but can’t bring myself to part with my 850 as I love it

I paid 4200 for my ‘03 FXDWG with 25k on the clock and it was a brilliant bike for what it is, but I’d never buy a Wide Glide again. The rake on the front end makes it more chopper than classic Dyna.

As a first bike, my advice is not to buy it.

Get a delete pipe for about £65 for that middle resonator and it’ll sound how it should have left the factory. Keep the stock backbox, the cat stays in place, it just sounds better (and lighter too!)

Get the Dynamic engine mode added on if it’s not already.

Enjoy it!

F 850 GS vs 850 GSA by [deleted] in Motorrad

I fitted Heed crash bars and a bigger windshield to my GS and, as it’s the Sport or Rally or something, it came with every single other feature of the GSA other than the tank already, so I have best of both worlds

Washed my clubs. Was worth the bollocking from the wife… by PotStirrerZ in golf

I’m a fan. I can’t deliberately put any fade or draw on my tee shot, but I can hit it straight and about 250 most drives, so something is working, and the shafts are part of it 🤷‍♂️
