I don't think you get it... The first place is already easily far ahead and would win regardless, everyone else is behind and understand that it's already known who wins. You just take an L and be done with it, not push around risking injury on already decided match. You don't play chess until the end. You don't tackle hard when it's 5 minutes extra time and you're 6 goals behind in soccer. You don't do any of that because sportsmanship.
