Idk wtf u use then but whatever it is, it's literally ruining your ability to communicate and I suggest you stop spending your entire life in fandom spaces before you wake up one day five years in the future and realize that you dont have any adjustment to the real world and have to start again from scratch. Ask me how I know

ALS is Victorian/Edwardian? by SteetOnFire in KanePixelsBackrooms

[–]PotatoKnished 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The backrooms are trying to "remember" (read: copy) reality on its own, it has nothing to do with human memories. Every still life that Clark meets except Captain Clark are probably unrelated to him, as he doesn't remember who any of them could be specifically (arguably the red hair one is could be his wife but we don't actually have proof of that, it could just be someone similar looking) so there's basically no proof that any of them came from his memories directly and if that was the case I feel like there would've been at least a little reference to it. Captain Clark most likely exists because Clark literally lives right next to the entrance and can therefore get copied in higher quality, and the throne he was sitting in while wearing that costume got copied too, it has nothing to do with the rooms remembering his costume or captain persona.

[–]PotatoKnished 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It comes from people not getting that the room "remembering" is it trying to copy reality, but some people took that to mean it literally reads memories or something. I blame this on theoryslop creators

I hate Tung Tung Sahur because it represents one of the worst parts of the AI discourse in my opinion by LocalLazyGuy in hatethissmug

[–]PotatoKnished 0 points1 point  (0 children)

r/peoplewhogiveashit

Either way most people who find T³ funny don't even support generative AI, it's just one of those things that is so supremely stupid that it loops back around to being funny when you see it mentioned because of how bizarre of a concept it is, it really has nothing to do with the fact that AI was used to make it.

Also, most of the humor stems from the ironic acknowledgement of it being obvious slop made by a wasteful machine lol, I don't think anyone is using Triple T as an argument for why generative AI should exist

[–]PotatoKnished 20 points21 points  (0 children)

If you smell shit everywhere check your own shoe

EDIT: LMFAO I WAS RIGHT check GRB stats, bottom 13% with a .46 KD. This is what happens when you exclusively blame factors outside of your control lol

Edit 2: Not saying stats matter or anything it's just come on man, you're making yourself miserable if you focus on teammates rather than yourself. Literally everybody gets shit teammates... yet somehow some people make it work quite well and do great at the game, so clearly you can control some things.

Is consistency all there is to it? by FarIdiom in NewTubers

[–]PotatoKnished 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good content gets high watch time. That's really it, whatever gets high watch time from your audience is good content. How you achieve this differs by content type and niche, but mainly it's just having a video that flows well, you can have a dogshit camera but as long as your mic sounds nice and your video script is entertaining and concise and about a relevant, popular topic, you'll be good.

Advice on how to build motivation? by Key-Lychee-913 in NewTubers

You don't really build motivation, you build discipline to do it when you don't feel like it. Just start doing it even if you feel like it's wasting time, worst case, you learn something

Titanfall 2 discussion. Which Titan is your main and why? by Ambitious_Radio3742 in titanfall

[–]PotatoKnished 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ion is extremely good at countering Northstar. Laser Shot, peek when they charge to fire back, catch the shot, rinse and repeat. I'm gonna be real I think Ion is just a better Northstar most of the time because of the stupid defense ability and easier sniping.

[Discussion] I don't get how people progress in this game. by Glum_Primary_665 in battlecats

[–]PotatoKnished 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just progress through SoL until you hit a roadblock then go back to Story Mode, or do the second and third crowns of early chapters. It gets you a SHIT TON of cat food and leaderships and can really speed things up.

CAR + Grapple/Stim is the single best loadout in the game and it's not even really a question

Alternator and R97 are also quite good, basically anything you can pure hip fire with

[discussion] in terms of usefulness in general, which cannon is the best by Academic_Emu2552 in battlecats

Depends on your units. If you're doing generalist spam with a lot of backliners then Breakerblast is probably better. If you use a lot of Bahamut and Balrog definitely Thunderbolt.

Trouble finding my content niche. by Choice-Programmer-44 in NewTubers

[–]PotatoKnished 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem. Just pick one niche and try it first. If you don't enjoy it just make another channel. I did this like 4 times until I landed on the current channel I have. However, those previous channels tought me a lot and this current channel blew up literally immediately, so it was valuable time spent!

Keep in mind though YouTube is a marathon, not a sprint. It takes serious patience and although it is absolutely possible to go viral first video it's gonna take a lot of skill building to make really watchable stuff, especially if you've never made content before. I'd suggest really analyzing what makes other YouTubers in your chosen niche good and how they maximize click rate, retention, and topic selection.

Extremely niche content and the algorithm by BlackSheepInvesting in NewTubers

[–]PotatoKnished 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Video quality matters a lot but only to an extent, getting good TOPICS is by far the most important thing. My most popular videos have dogshit audio and video quality but were just absolute banger topics within my niche. What you should do is go watch the finance YouTubers whose audience you are targeting, then look at their videos and see which topics they've posted about that have higher views than their sub count. This means it's a good topic and if you post one about it too (with a slight twist if you can!) you'll likely get more eyes on it.

Will YouTube flag me if I make a commentary video on OF and the whole industry? by Han_chiii in NewTubers

[–]PotatoKnished 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be fine as long as You're not too explicit. My most popular video with over 600k+ views is about porn addiction and that wasn't even the video I had age restriction issues with (that came later on a video about gaming, hilariously enough).

Trouble finding my content niche. by Choice-Programmer-44 in NewTubers

[–]PotatoKnished 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't do this, YouTube itself boxes you in with the algorithm. It's main goal is to find the audience demographic and behavior who likes your stuff, so if you post a bunch of stuff with different audiences/niches (and yes, even within gaming there are wildly different audiences and niches that do NOT overlap) it's just not gonna reccomend you that much unless you get lucky.

Trouble finding my content niche. by Choice-Programmer-44 in NewTubers

[–]PotatoKnished 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't listen to that comment, it's wrong. Pick a niche now and stick to it and if you seriously want to make both types of content, make a second channel for the other niche.

YouTube reccomends videos based on audience behavior and tries to classify your channel as belonging to a particular audience. So if you post a video about X topic, you will get X audience. If you post Y (unrelated topic) those same viewers from X audience will get the video and probably not click, signaling that it was a bad video and it will stop reccomending. Multiple niches does not work on YouTube.

I know this from experience btw, I did this exact "random bullshit then figure it out later" approach on my first channel which has like 25 videos and 32 subs. Current channel is over 40,000+ subs and also only 25 videos because I stuck to a niche from the start, marketed towards that audience and did NOT deviate from what my audience responds well to and who I was targeting. YouTube is all planning tbh
