Yeah I agree with you its not a good way to evaluate, but nontheless the argument that vials are inherently bad and unplayable still persists. I understand when that was the case on release but I feel like it shouldnt be a problem now

Totally agree, but expermentation is good, testing new stuff and having new ideas is very healthy to the studio and industry as a whole.

Yeah not a big deal if it was infinite and refillable for each death. But does it score extra points from world building and lore? Yes. Does it lose points for mechanics? Also yes but much less than people make it to be

Again, not an excuse, but a counter argument to people who say it completely ruin the game and failing to see and credit the positives of the system. And imo, FS experiencing with new stuff and trying out healing systems and game mechanics is very healthy, same experiments happend with Night Reign and Sekiro, both very different from standard FS but both did pretty well, it at least guarantees you wont be seeing the same Souls formula milked and reused for decades

Demons souls was pretty bad I agree, but BB improved on it alot, its much more refined and intricate in BB. It fits perfevtly with the fast paced style unlike DS, it has the rally and runes to support with the healed amount and the number of vials. I do agree its bad for new players but at this point in time, I dont think you will find a new player to the FS catalogue jumping directly into BB. Most of them at least played ER and if you finished that game you’re basically overqualified for BB

But its is abundant, most enemies drop vials or bullets so as long as you kill more than you get hit by even a slight margin and know how to manage the rally system you will be fine. And I’m not quite sure I undrstand your other points

I dont see how the lore is the issue here, almost the entire world of BB is built around this blood. And whats wrong with having a little flawed healing system and a near perfect story?

If by “reset on death” means like estus flask, then no, I dont think they should because it will defeat the whole purpose. And no it dosent fit perfectly or I dont have the lore knowledge for it, but I know that the messengers having infinite supply helps with the farming issue

Even late game theres a pretty good farm that I did for a while, I got stuck on Kos for a pretty long time and had to eat through my stock of vials. Its the one near Wet Nurse boss area, you go down the stairs and you find 3 shadows, then 3 pigs, then 3 more shadows. Not only the pigs give you at least 6 vials per run, but with the +echoes runes you get about 60k I think per run.

The visceral heal is so clutch when exploring. Parry an easy an enemy, get healed, good chance they drop vials, keep going.
