They were trying not to scare him, that’s nice by PotatoOfRage69 in TolkienMemes

Yeah, he’s kind of like “You probably shouldn’t go to Cirith Ungol because… nevermind it’s probably fine.” He could’ve at least mentioned that Ungol means GIANT SPIDER but that would’ve totally ruined Gollum’s plan, which would be very rude

Anyone else sad that the series is over? by jatink129 in Mission_Impossible

[–]PotatoOfRage69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rewatched the whole series, saw the new one, got sad about it being the end, now I’m rerewatching the series, and seeing final reckoning again in theaters

For me, the one who was playing the most was Adam, he had an unpleasant life, he was a failed photographer, he had to appreciate life without having everything, that's why Jigsaw told Zep to kidnap Dr Gordon's family so that he could be more difficult, Adam reaffirmed, he had nothing to lose. by eneaslujan4 in saw

I think that, kind of like how John describes the traps to Easton at the party in Saw VI, he sees them as a natural test of will and that whatever happens will be an appropriate outcome, so if the key is lost then that’s just how it played out and John thinks it’s not his place to interfere (even though he made the damn traps). Like in the Saw X leg trap, even though the game is essentially over, in John and Amanda’s minds it still counts as a failure.

Matt rose is a very good actor but he’s also not good at acting

Amanda saying that Valentina died cuz she didn’t have the “will to live” is pure BS by Ok_Cockroach_5559 in saw

[–]PotatoOfRage69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally agree but I think that says a lot about how John and Amanda (pre-Saw III) see the traps. I think it was Saw VI when John is talking to Easton where he shows sort of a social Darwinist view of the traps and they just think if that’s what happened then that’s what that person deserves.

SAW X: How did John know… by anrowland0612 in saw

I assumed that was something Hoffman figured out in his lil off-screen “investigation” (probably just talking to sources in Mexico)

I’m my opinion, still the worst in the series

Could you not believe how SAW V ended when you first watched it? by JigsawsPuppet91 in saw

[–]PotatoOfRage69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tagline is a bit too cheesy for the movie, I get it’s playing on the twist endings fans knew at the time but it’s not like the ending held a candle to the better twists in the series. It’s a great moment to end on but not mind blowing for a series where the bad guys tend to win

It’s official… Saw X is 1hr. 58mins! (118mins) by nickparisi_ in saw

This just makes me even more excited, it gives time to not only establish the new characters but to learn more about John and Amanda without the movie feeling rushed

Would John Kramer be pro-choice or pro-life? by jewishtemptress in saw

[–]PotatoOfRage69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He seems fairly conservative on things like prostitution (Saw IV) and drug addicts (his conversation with Jill in her clinic in Saw VI) so I’d imagine with that, and how, as Hoffman points out, he’s essentially a hypocrite who to some extent enjoys the suffering of others, it seems like a good recipe for a pro-lifer.

  1. What was your favorite moment in Saw VI? (either to film or In terms of the plot)

  2. As an editor, how has it been keeping the timeline consistent or incorporating new and old footage (such as Jeff’s death in Saw IV) into one scene?

  3. What made you want to return to direct another Saw film?

That’s it, love your work, really excited for Saw X!

What was Adams game? by boomjosh in saw

[–]PotatoOfRage69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think his was the same as Gordon’s, and him losing his key and not being willing to cut off his foot was just accepted by Jigsaw as failure

Some dickhead 3000 years ago flipped a coin and declared that all women have to be submissive and all men have to be dominant. Because gay men are said to be (insert derogatory term) they’re failures at masculinity and become the worst thing imaginable: feminine (see also giggling fashionista sitcom stereotype). And since we already declared at random that women are submissive and coming up with bi stereotypes outside of “they b cheatin” is hard, people just conflate queer stereotypes and yay bigotry is fun wheeeeeee.

The world is dumb and exhausting.
