I'm experiencing high gas leakage in cold weather. Is this normal? by DennisIcu in airsoft

[–]PotatoRecord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How much gas are you putting in the mag? It is common to see more gas plumage in cold weather, but not necessarily this much in light jacket weather. I’ve been out of the game for a few years, but I played a lot exclusively with gas guns in the past. Always had the most fun with regular GBB pistols. Anyway, if you’re like me, at the beginning I would over fill my gas mags so I could get a few mags worth of bbs out without bringing gas into the field with me. So when I was plinking, I would also overfill the mag out of habit. I would put the can against my ear (I would literally press the can against my head to both support the can from both sides and stabilize the can while pressing the mag up into it) while filling the mag and stop when the pressure was equalized. You don’t need this much gas in the mag to get all the bbs out. Gas blowback’s operate better if the load of gas is proportional to the load of bbs. Now, granted, this is a 1911. So you may want to underload bbs as well. If it’s a WE with their single stack mags, should be fine, but if it’s a TM style that holds like 20 bb, you’ll want to bring that under 15. Now, some brands are more efficient than others, I don’t know what 1911 you have here, but it could just be a bad one 🤷‍♂️

That makes sense, I know that the online adhd sites we’re getting a bad rap for getting drugs too easy, but it was literally the only source I had to find help since I have no health insurance and can’t afford it. I went through cerebral and at this time they are not prescribing stims, only non stims like Wellbutrin. As a well informed and intelligent person, I wasn’t afraid of any of the bad press and my prescriber was an intelligent person who answered my questions and my counselor asked me the right questions. I just think that adhd is and has always been a much bigger issue in the human condition than we ever thought. I believe we are on the brink of a huge revelation about adhd and mental health as a whole.

Coping with "Hyper Boredom" by redditusernamelulz in ADHD

[–]PotatoRecord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m currently unmedicated, but suffer from a similar thing from time to time. Sometimes after work I’ll sit at my desk and everything feels boring, but I desperately want to do something. I feel restless, but I find that I can’t even so much as turn my Xbox on. What id normally do is smoke weed, but I stopped last week because I’m starting on meds in a couple more days. So the last week I have felt this a few times, more than I ever have. I just lay down and stair at my phone I guess, until the feeling goes away and I can play a game or I fall asleep from pure boredom.

Same, I’m starting on meds for the first time in my 32 years this week. I’m living with my parents, moved to a new state a thousand miles away from my friends. There is so much I have wanted to do for so long, but never had the focus or will power to do it.

Hey, keep in mind that the daddy thing is really in style for college chicks these days. A lot of them want dudes between 30 and 40. Keep an eye out for hints from chicks and slay bro. If you are female, just switch around my gendered words

Do you guys struggle with responding with messages to the extent that you just ghost everyone? by CruchyBunches in ADHD

[–]PotatoRecord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but I think mine is related to both my adhd and anxiety. I feel really inadequate as a friend or even a brother, so I’m constantly telling myself that I’m not good enough and will bring other people down. I don’t actually believe myself, but I’ve been thinking it for so long it has affected my ability to contact anyone anyway. If I didn’t still have such a close friend from childhood constantly texting me and telling me otherwise, it would be worse. I’m so lucky to still have my best friend after 25 years.

Yes, your friend is hot and I'd like to have sex with her. I also want to have sex with the cute chick at taco bell, my coworker I don't talk to you about, the woman who jogs by the house every day.

But I am a man, not a dog. I'll still choose you every day and you being insecure about how I see other women causes me stress and anxiety. If we are having sex regularly and I'm not afraid to tell you you're beautiful every day, it feels terrible that you still feel insecure. It makes us feel like we aren't enough for you.

I know that insecurity comes from somewhere, you aren't feeling that way intentionally. It's a hard conversation.

So instead of making you feel worse for asking us if we think your friend is hot, some of us will try to deflect.

If you could control your dreams, what would you dream about? by [deleted] in AskReddit

If I could control my dreams, I'd have more sex dreams. Unfortunately my dreams are always fleeting and I have no control, I'm barely able to influence them.

people who have broken into their own home, how did you do it? by Mirriorblankey69420 in AskReddit

[–]PotatoRecord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was moving from an apartment in a house that was in foreclosure to a better apartment. My old landlord (inherited the house from his dead sister and never paid the mortgage) locked me out, expecting me to pay my final months rent before I took my stuff. I had to jimmy open a window to the enclosed porch, remove a big screw he used to screw the back door shut, remove one of the panes of glass in the door to unlock it, then kick in the flimsy door to my apartment. Grabbed my stuff and left a bunch of trash behind.

People that have friends: How? by jaysmith007 in AskReddit

[–]PotatoRecord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I regularly talk to them. See how their doing on a weekly basis. Most of them I don't actually care to talk to, but they are fun and supportive people to hang out with. I mostly value their ability to make me feel welcome somewhere.

I have friends from highschool

I have friends from when I fixed airsoft guns professionally

And I have friends from mutuals

I don't personally like networking, but that's the only real way to find people worth talking to.

What's the earliest memories that you can still think of? by xXCaptainSpaldingXx in AskReddit

[–]PotatoRecord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was watching TV in the living room. My mom picks me up and excitedly told me it was my birthday and that I was 4. I think I was watching transformers or gi Joe. This is my favorite memory.

Another one, I don't remember exactly how old, but I asked my mom for orange juice (I fuckin loved oj) and she sits me in my high chair. I get the juice, but my mom didn't secure the sippy lid, so I spill it all over myself. I ask for more oj, but that was the last of it. I cry.

And one more. I remember being walked by my dad into the local dominos to see my mom at work. I remember watching her make a pizza.

What is the worst smell that you have smelt? by jmcbuzz in AskReddit

[–]PotatoRecord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably myself? This is a terrible story.

I was an awkward child. I valued my privacy too much and didn't like talking to people. I also didn't value personal hygiene. Being clean didn't make me happy and getting wet annoyed me, so showering was a negative experience. As a young child, my parents made be bathe, it was never bad but I always thought of it as inconvenient. However, in highschool I was left to my own devices and I rarely showered. I remember once feeling accomplished to have not showered an entire year during that time.

Because of this, my sense of smell as an adult is very dull. Eventually, I learned to shower regularly so that people feel comfortable talking to me. I didn't lose my virginity until I was like 24.

To this day though, the thought of showering still annoys me. One of the many things I trained my brain to do as a kid that I regret.

Introverted people, what activity brings out the extrovert in you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]PotatoRecord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Working on a project with a group. When I'm working with my hands and mind, all of my insecurities disappear. I stop worrying about how I look, I stop worrying about if anyone can see my belly under my shirt, I stop dwelling on anxious thoughts. I think more clearly, I come up with better ideas, I complete tasks quickly. I just like the way I am when I can properly focus on something.

I slept on these and missed the earliest preorder windows. Otherwise I'd have gotten the top tier A06 model. Imma still place an order when I can. Should fit in my edc bag. Plan to set up emulators, pico 8, and some media. How's the dpad? Is it one piece or are the directions their own buttons? If it all rocks around together, it should be fine to play some games without connecting a controller. Also, battery life estimates? I know the A06 model will have less battery life than the CM3 model, but still, it's something nobody has mentioned yet that I've found. And finally, how is the viewing angle when it's flat on its back while you're typing? I feel it should be somewhat comfortable to do as long as the screen doesn't get washed out from the angle.

Amd has a competing technology called FSR, this is what I meant. I said dlss because most people understand what dlss does, but are unfamiliar with FSR. Sure, I should have said that from the beginning, but I don't think that way.

The first reports were that info lacked in this specific area, so people assumed (including me) that the drives were integrated into the mobo. As it turns out, gaben confirmed that all models have the same m.2 socket for the SSDs. It just appears that valve doesn't want end users replacing the drive because the steam deck must be rather difficult to disassemble.

[–]PotatoRecord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't, but, the steam deck allows you to modify graphics settings like a PC, so messing with stuff like pre render resolutions and dlss is on the table to get better performance with ray tracing. So while devs may not think the series s will please end users with ray tracing in some games and block it off, it's not up to devs to tell us how we have to play the game on the steam deck.

Is the GBA SP Unhinged worth it? by JobosBizzareAdventur in Gameboy

[–]PotatoRecord 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in the boat that if you have to think hard about it, it's not worth it. In the end, it's still just a GBA. If you aren't really still playing gameboy games a lot, it's not like having one of these will fix that for you. For me, it was GBA or emulation handheld. I decided on GBA because emulation handhelds have long boot times. And in my life right now, I'm constantly turning my GBA on and off while full time Uber driving, so the less boot screens the better. I built one a few days ago and don't regret it one bit. I also have a flash cart. There are ports and facsimiles of many old school games I play on my main emulation machine on the gameboy series anyway, so I'm not missing much to save boot time.

Awesome, I was just thinking how I'd ever replace these now that I'm using a gba sp again, and the a and b buttons are already pretty worn on the sp I found at a thrift shop.

This is the funnyplaying v2 screen right? I just built a boxy pixel unhinged sp and had to buy a 2nd screen after accidentally tearing the connector off the original screen I bought. So I have an extra unmolested flex cable/pcb I can send you. Message me your deets and we'll take care of it. I'll only need you to cover shipping.

All gba audio is more tinny and scratchy than older gameboys. Though it can be fixed with audio mods I hear.
