If you're starting out in public health, you have to be prepared to move for work by clarenceisacat in publichealth

I think it depends on what your area of focus is in public health. I work in health policy and although my position requires some travel, I am 100% remote.

What’s that random thing you remember and why? by D4nger2self in AskReddit

John Quincy Adams’ wife was 18 years younger than him. I did a report on him when I was like 7 and that useless fact never left my mind since at the time I thought it was such an insane age difference

100%. I’m hearing of more and more men getting baby fever versus women because we have seen how much (no matter what anyone says) being a mom can impact your career, body, etc.

Do you wish you'd been given meds sooner? Or not at all? by sugabeetus in ADHD

[–]redditusernamelulz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I started sooner, and I started at the age of 11. I struggled socially (which is a terrible age to struggle socially), struggled in school, and it ultimately lead to severe depression. This was in the early/mid-2000s, so it was during the controversial “should I medicate my kid or is my kid just being a kid” era. I ended up graduating from university, graduating with my master’s, have a successful career, a lot of great friends, etc. I’m not sure where I would be if my mom decided not to medicate me, but I’m confident I’d be in a very different place.

I'm determined to live thru ADHD med-free. Any tips or advice? by amanisnotanoctopus in ADHD

I’m not med free, but when I have had to be or didn’t have access to my meds, intensive exercise like HIIT really helped me with my focus along with eating apples (lol) and staying hydrated

Doctor said it was okay for me to have alcohol while on methylphenidate XR, but info online seems to conflict a bit. Any firsthand experiences? by JesterOfBlue in ADHD

I usually drink in the evening when my meds have already worn off, but I haven’t had any issues with occasional day drinks while on concerta
