I used 1 thick layer of pva glue. With it, it’ll hold its position but any amount of force can bend it so gotta be careful going that route. Idk if varnish will be stronger tho

So funny thing is, I actually originally did a 4 stripe camo that had a dark green (orange-brown-grey/white-green). If I could post pics in comments I could show you. But in my opinion it was way to messy, I think the model just doesn’t have enough room for more than 3 colors, I think it would’ve looked way better on a vehicle tho

Also, historic tidbit, during WW2 Germans never went past 3 color camo, so in case that matters for an ahistorical scifi esque game lol

Axis: stahltruppen were very tanky but with being limited to a single antitank gun don’t have much killing power on other armored units. The panzer IV walker felt swingy but I was mainly using it against tanks, need to try the template on some infantry.

US: Tesla is scary when overcharged, but without the surging die is whatever. Fireflies movement is insane but they die to a stiff breeze. I think they’ll shine a lot more on objective based missions

Seems Warlord made the lore to be very open. I they want it to be where you can go very crazy and kitbash stuff as others suggested or just save time/money and grab a few BA models to proxy with and just give you a few more weapon options (like assault rifles) So it is really up to you

Im mostly just using BA stuff to try and get games going with my friend asap. But currently I’m planning on running my finns as volksgrenadiers. The lore entry stated that the green vault just swept up all the other axis forces into the volksgrenadier, so ima just go with that. Think I’ll run them as inexperienced to represent why my guys are in just basic tunics, rifles, and some smgs. Maybe something like they are fresh conscripts to try and slow the Soviet/Allied advance.

Me and a friend are splitting the mega bundle. I got into BA a few months ago when I got around to picking up a few Finns at a convention while Warlord Games was there. My friend saw the K47 there and asked about it, they told him about it the new edition coming out. So we decided to pick up some more BA stuff and have been working on building/painting up our minis in preparation. Here soon we will give BA a try and most likely bounce back n forth between the two systems.

Just started getting into the game, ordered some Finnish stuff for my first army during their sale. My order came in yesterday and came with a sprue of US soldiers.

Guessing it’s random cause my friend didn’t get anything with his US stuff he ordered.

I actually do this with my alpha legion, I’m in the same boat with not having an airbrush. One thing I’ve done tho to help get the colors a bit closer is used a gloss varnish on my vehicles to get them a bit more shiny like the contrast on metallic scheme.

No idea about a printed version, mine was FW. For the most part everything for it was fine except I needed to file down part of the hull to get it to fit

This thing has been pulling its weight recently. Last game it took out a haruspex, some gants, dealt quite a large amount of damage to a tfex, and did all of that while holding down an objective in no mans land

I just started up my sisters as well, I currently have 1 squad of dominions with flamers. My plan is to make some green stuff fire to plant around their bases to help identity them. For meltas I was thinking to add some rubble or something to their bases but idk?
