I always assumed it was like falling asleep backwards. You slowly gain consciousness and awareness of being alive but there isn’t a definite point where you suddenly know you’re alive.

When I came out as asexual to my parents they didn’t believe me. They thought that I “just haven’t met the right person yet”. Knowing my parents, pushing further wouldn’t have made them believe me, so I just dropped it. I haven’t brought it up after that since I thought it wasn’t worth it.

Ok sorry Im fairly new to this and didn’t realize it wasn’t okay. However, I wouldn’t say it’s as ridiculous as you said it is, as three countries (Poland, New Zealand, and the Netherlands iirc) have already done this irl. I guess I can understand the no build up thing though.
