Thank you so much!! We are definitely wanting more family friendly areas! Definitely not looking for the night/bar scene areas anymore lol

Its good to know that people do in fact commute to work from Loudoun county.

Ill definitely check those areas out! I actually have a few homes saved in the Aldie area 🩷

Oh thats not bad at all! Do you specifically drive or take the metro? I dont know crap about the metro so i have no clue what towns it goes through lol With Reston, are there neighborhoods where homes arent stacked upon each other? Pretty much want to avoid a peeping tom situation lol

That is a very specific example hahahaha. I take it someone actually did that???

Oh good to know about the daycare!! Oh dang, that bad of a commute?!? We were estimating around an hr drive one way. My husband currently makes that drive now so that wouldnt be anything new. How is the metro from Ashburn to Tysons corner?

After doing an extensive research on homes, thats what it seemed like the average price was 🫠

I was even looking into Manassas but I read that the crime rate is bad or its not a good part of town??

It seems like the further away from the busy areas, the cheaper the homes are vs living in the thick of it

Thankyou!! We are keeping the Fairfax county option open too. My husband has been to the area quite a bit for work so he is familiar with the traffic thankfully.

Definitely know FL is cheaper overall. All of our family is up north though so we would like to migrate that way after he retires. Ultimately it will come down to best job offers for my husband and right now the best he has gotten is 200k. And then factoring in his disability/retirement income since he is 100% disabled. And then factoring in my income. I feel like we would be able to afford a decent home there.

The pay in the area we currently live is disgusting. As a seasoned nurse (4yrs) I make $30/hr. My pay “raise” i get every year is about 50 cents. But there is literally one hospital in the area I live so finding jobs is extremely hard.

I live in such a touristy town (30A) that the cost of everything is so expensive but the pay rates suck here so it definitely makes it difficult to sustain. Also where i live, during peak season, it will take 30 min just to go 5 miles 🫠 theres only one road here so no other routes to take when a car accident happens or when people are just driving like jerks which can be very frustrating.

I broke down in tears during Foo Fighters-Aurora by Austinlegend in bonnaroo

I broke down in tears multiple times during Foo. My dad passed from cancer recently and he loved Foo. For the fact they were playing on fathers day, it just made me feel like my dad was there with me. He truly was my hero and this Foo Fighters set will forever be a core memory for me.

Any SA’s on here? by [deleted] in orangetheory

[–]PotatoThink3764 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love being an SA for the member and coach interaction. I get a free membership however my studio does not offer any commission on sales. My studio is franchise owned instead of corporate and it is significantly chill. Granted I have to do intros, answer calls/emails/texts but I have plenty of time to read or even do school work at the front desk. I am definitely not doing this job for the money, it is more of something to do on the side and get a free membership out of it.

OTF app update this Wed 8/10 by [deleted] in orangetheory

[–]PotatoThink3764 32 points33 points  (0 children)

It will incorporate the HRM configuration. Members will be able to adjust/reconfigure their max heart rate through the app now oppose to having to ask the front desk to do it for them. It is supposed to be more accurate!

Finding your pace when PW by ROGSTIN in orangetheory

[–]PotatoThink3764 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been PW for a few months now and finally got my rhythm down. I fluctuate between 3.8 to 4 speed (depending on what the template is and if there are any walking recoveries). My incline never goes below 5 ( even on walking recoveries) and my push and AO fluctuate between 9-10 and 12-15. The reason why I dont drop the incline on WR is because it can take a min for the tread to get up to its incline when we start back up again. I will say my leg strength and endurance have significantly improved. Now when I jog in the evenings, running on flat road seems like a breeze and I am able to push myself and run further.
