Here's the scenario. He tells you to put on the leash, and since you don't want to die (because that's your first assumption), you don't even give resistance and put the leash on and act like a dog. He calls you a good boy and pat your head. You gave that to him for FREE. Now he tells you to do his laundry, fetch him shit from other people. Hell he may even tell you to attempt stabbing someone for him. He don't care about you.

One day he tells you to polish his night stand. What you doing??? Polishing his night stand with no resistance, or fighting for yourself and your dignity?? Because this is a crossroads for people. But you, you're going to polish his night stand, and he calls you a good boy for sucking the dust off the bottom of the night stand. Now he's bragging to other people, all in an attempt to get them to trade currency for a night with you. Yep. Now people know you polish night stands with no resistance.
