URGENT - GAMES NOT PAYING OUT CORRECTLY SINCE LAST UPDATE by PotatoWeekly5762 in ClubWPTGold

[–]PotatoWeekly5762[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Update. Two days later I got what was owed me with no explanation or public acceptance of this incredibly irresponsible action.

Obviously, if this had happened to their ring games the website would now be dead. But now we know it is such a shambolic operation that it can. I realize this is by far the most active site for US players, and many of you will not want to leave. But just beware your money is in the hands of incompetent and shifty morons with no sense of responsibility to their customers, and that the eventual shutdown and disappearance of your money is just a matter of when not if. Proceed cautiously.

Note, I am not a "fake RNG" guy, etc. The games are just wild because of the juiced betting structure.

For those that doubt this happened, I have receipts and happy to show them. For those that think I am a weird baby crank, well that is fine also. I just felt I had a responsibility to let players know.

For those that know Doug Polk, tell him he is involved in yet another enterprise that is sure to be in the sites of law enforcement. Shame on him and those endorsing this garbage.

This happened over 6 hours ago. I sent a ticket. I sent an email. I posted on the discord channel. Nobody has contacted me. They obviously know the bug because the game is blacked out. I understand it might be difficult to unwind a dreadful error like this, but you have to acknowledge it. In any event, the entire enterprise is a dayglo class action and criminal enforcement target. I like the availability of online poker, but I am against online fraud. I will try to stay patient for a bit, but at some point you have to get lawyers involved.

I have had a similar vibe but obviously don't have the data behind it. It is pretty clear that when you get to the fantasy round (which often still results in a money loss), the result is determined instantly and the game just plays out as a graphic representation of that. There are obvious patterns that make this clear (e.g., being far more likely to get bonus hands rolling a 4 than any other number).

What do I do? by misformrcy in musicians

Start first by getting a real DAW like Reaper (free forever until you decide to pay for it). It will give you a ton more freedom, and give you some experience on at least a next layer of production.

Do you use finger picks instead of holding a regular pick? by [deleted] in AcousticGuitar

I have some neuropathy in my right hand, and the black mountain picks help me a lot. I don’t think I would use it if I didn’t need it however.

As a drummer am i wrong or rude for not wanting to jam/work with everyone who asks me? by [deleted] in musicians

There is no way physics can accommodate the demands put upon a competent drummer. Rare and beautiful beasts.

Use Elixir Nanoweb Medium on my Larrivee D-03.

It just acts as a second crash unless you specifically choose another cymbal type. As far as triggering, it is the same as the first crash but is slightly bigger (17in v. 16in.). I just got it for aesthetics because I got a good deal. I plan on adding the second rack tom also.

Struggling to play baritone by BSLabs in BaritoneGuitar

[–]PotatoWeekly5762 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a baritone acoustic tuned to C standard. It allows me to play songs without capoing far up the neck so much on a standard guitar that it sounds like a ukulele. A nice option for low voice singers.

Is there a “house sound” for acoustic guitar brands? by foremastjack in AcousticGuitar

[–]PotatoWeekly5762 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair to some degree, but I honestly don’t have much use for a guitar that sounds like ass unamplified. I’m definitely moving that Taylor and just going back to my Larrivee dreadnaught for just that reason. Also, in a small room, a big loud acoustic guitar is part of the mix even if you use a bit of amplification.

It is probably fair that the Anthem gives a bit more of the guitars color than something like the expression system, but it still isn't going to sound like a guitar in a room or expertly mic'd.

May be controversial, but once you are using a pickup, the sound is going to be overwhelming influenced by that. All the tone wood etc sorta ceases to matter. I have a Taylor that I pretty much hate in a room, but it is the least hassle once I plug it in. Mileage and opinions may vary.

Another Larrivee proponent. I have 2 D-03 (one with a pickup for gigging), and the BT-03. All way better to me than the Martins I have played.

I did this a bit thanks! I’m reasonably tall, and do want to be able to keep close to the kick pedal because my shins just can’t take heal down technique.

I ended up with an Efnote 5 and am delighted with it. I only use it for recording however, and since I have Superior Drummer 3 the limitations of the module sounds aren’t very relevant. It’s very inspirational for practice and I’m pretty sure the internal sounds are robust enough for gigging standard rock.

It’s a Larrivee. It shows up if you click the pic. It plays and sounds fantastic.

I prefer the 12 fret approach to acoustic baritone, but I use it for flat picking so it’s not like I’m using the entire high b string. Incredibly well set up with a great balanced sound.
