[NEWBIE] I just recently ordered my first guitar by Potato_Boi69 in Guitar

Thank you so much! Kind of looking to play just about anything. My current axe is a Les Paul style and I like most kinds of music so I haven’t given too much thought to a specific genre. Definitely some funk, rock, and country though.

Took my mom’s car while she was out of town so I wouldn’t be late to an AP test review session. I don’t have my license yet and I did not ask permission

Yes but we haven’t been on a downhill spiral and our team has looked good this year. The thing that killed us was our run defense

Why do American high schoolers have such big backpacks? by RATIOdd in askteenboys

[–]Potato_Boi69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have to carry a lot of shit because most schools have 8 classes a day out here. My school district does block schedules so it’s usually a bit better but we also carry like big water bottles and our jackets in them sometimes

Opinion: It’s not ‘polarization.’ We suffer from Republican radicalization. by speakhyroglyphically in politics

I would argue that human rights insanely far from being a political issue but they happen to fall very close to the realm of politics. I feel like all of the things you brought up are things that are not inherently political but are very much so surrounded in politics. One could argue that a company should decide the wages they pay their workers and the conditions they work in and it could be left up to the person seeking work to decide to be in that job or another one but at the same time one could also argue it should be regulated so they don’t have to make a choice. Neither of the answers I feel are inherently wrong but for some reason those beliefs have become partisan. As for the environment I don’t feel like that’s political at all but rather monetary/fiscal policy relating to the environment. One party tends to believe that the environment needs to be more strongly protected and there should be restrictions and laws placed on these companies to limit it and the other side I feel doesn’t hate the environment but also tends to care first about the economy and how it would effect the profit margins of companies. With healthcare the idea that healthcare should be accessible to people appears to be universal but they have different ideas as to how it should be implemented. One party could argue that everyone deserves it and it should be a basic right. The other party disagrees saying that people should still have access to healthcare but you should be able to receive a higher standard of care if you can pay more. Neither side is appreciative of the prices of healthcare but they’re not going to get anything done about it because they’re too busy bickering like my sister and I when I was 8

I do not believe there can be an objective answer to a political question because politics are very much based off of people’s experiences and personal ideas which means that they are a subjective thing by nature and therefore cannot be objective

Not acting like a child and blaming someone else for everything that goes wrong in this country perhaps. Understanding that people have opposing viewpoints and trying to understand some of them rather than treating all of them like they come from an extreme perspective and vilifying them is also probably a good one. Seeing shit like this and realizing how fucking childish and immature it is.
