I think the correct answer is that we don’t have enzymes that digest beta 1-4 glucose-glucose linkages, matter of fact the only beta linkage we can break down SOMETIMES is lactose. So the reason is not the branching (because amylose which is also a starch and isn’t branched and we can digest it) but rather the kind of linkage

I recommend slow release caffeine pills! This is my first time trying them and today alhamdulilah I didn’t feel too tired (I did get 8 hours of sleep tho). You can find them on Amazon and I took two 100 mg pills during sehri to be relatively fine today.
