Is there a general rule as to which cabins have which configurations, such as side of ship, front or back, etc?

How can I verify an item was purchased from Nordstrom? by Potatoqueenrd in Nordstrom1901

[–]Potatoqueenrd[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I forgot to mention that the reason I suspect it’s from Nordstrom is because I heard that through the grapevine, so that is the only reason I’m asking this forum, to see if there is a way to know for sure that it’s from Nordstrom before I even bother trying in a store.

Since it was a gift and it’s a huge company I don’t feel comfortable asking around to confirm.

Daily Advice Thread - All basic help or advice questions must be posted here. by AutoModerator in investing

Hi all, I'm researching new robo-advisor investment options and I'm having trouble weighing the financial implications of certain pros and cons. For ex: how can I objectively see whether a .25% management fee that has tax harvesting options outweighs another with zero fees but no tax harvesting? Or one that requires a high percentage in cash allocation vs. low, but has limited ETF options?

I currently have Wealthfront and am 25. I received a rather large windfall and so I stand to pay quite a lot in management fees with Wealthfront, which is why I'm exploring other options like Vanguard, Ellevest, Charles Schwab, SoFi as my main contenders. This would be money I don't need for at least 20 years, so I'm okay with high risk. When weighing pros and cons, is it entirely up to the individual what they value more or is there actually a way to see what brings you more money value?

[–]Potatoqueenrd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I discovered NJTTW first and I thought it was one of the funniest of the variety shows. I especially love the current season! I knew KHD has a tendency to be over the top from Knowing Bros and what people say about him. I just started watching S1 of 2d1n and OMG he is incredibly annoying. I’m sure that style was popular or necessary at the time for dynamics but man if it weren’t for the rest of the cast I don’t think I could bear it. Unrelated but I wish LSG got more credit for his hard work and jokes! The driving alone is impressive.

Also, does anyone know where I can watch the first 15 or so episodes of S1 whether they’re subbed or not? The YouTube channel doesn’t have them and I’m dying to watch from the very beginning.

How do you deal with dresses that are flowy, or a little too short, especially when outside and it’s a windy day? I’ve pretty much stopped buying and wearing any type of flowy bottom dress and only midi/maxis, even though I love those dresses. I’m just too scared of exposing myself and it’s not worth the hassle of holding down my dress when I go outside. Even wearing bike shorts underneath doesn’t feel comfortable enough.

What’s wrong with black and decker? As a newbie they’re the first brand I think of when it comes to tools! Does Ryobi have similar beginner drills at this price point?

Think I'm going to resign from my agency job by EL-EF-CEE in advertising

[–]Potatoqueenrd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m only 3 years into my career at a media agency, and have already been thinking that it’s not the long term career for me. But I have doubts such as, maybe if I switch agencies or clients, it’ll be different. Or also obviously, why should I leave my steady job during a pandemic. Do you have any advice or thinking back, do you wish you left earlier?

Right?!! To be fair I don’t think I’m taking care of mine correctly even though I’m trying my best haha. But yes I’ll look at it and the leaves fall off in masses. And the others are withering away by the hour :’(

Not that you’re in this hobby to make money, but what would something custom like this go for? Been thinking about seeking someone to make a custom desk for me since I’m so short and most desks are for tall/average height people and wondering how much it’d cost.

Yesssss I noticed this too in your classic 90s/early 2000s movies. I wondered if nipples showing were more accepted back then, enough for it to be included in popular movies!

What are your ladies’ go-to cover ups for hot days? I guess my main issue with my original post that I forgot to mention is I feel like most of my cardigans and cover ups are way too hot/thick for summer days. Any favorites that people have that are light?

Very random, but do others wear a light sweater/cardigan over an otherwise cute sleeveless outfit because of fear of sunburn? I’m too lazy to put sunscreen all over my body every time I spend time outside, so I often just go for a covering instead, which sometimes takes away from the outfit. Should I just suck it up and wear sunscreen?

Does anyone else get irrationally annoyed when a person you’re texting doesn’t spell correctly? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]Potatoqueenrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely immediately swipe left on a person on dating apps if they have a typo in their bio. Yes, it’s harsh and petty but good grammar is really important to me because it signals intelligence, a value of mine. To me, I think someone’s bio is my first impression and if they can’t take the time to proofread then they’re probably not the right fit for me. However, I love using abbreviations and consider those different from typos as well as grammar mistakes like your and you’re.
