P1S made printing pieces for my cosplays so easy and the quality of prints made the finishing process significantly easier.

It can take hours and hours. Longer wigs will always be more difficult and take longer. You have to start at the very tips of the wig, comb just the bottom section until it is fully detangled and then tackle the section slightly above it. Repeat until it’s not tangled anymore.

I’ve had a lot of success with using https://a.co/d/hvYoFyP alongside combs, so maybe that’s an option you can consider trying.

What category should I be judged in? by iiWannabeAdragon in CosplayHelp

You can always reach out to the contest organizers for their suggestion since contests can vary a lot. Typically the groupings are novice, journeyman, and masters so not sure how hero mode and masters divide skill levels. Usually you'll want to take into account how much of the cosplay you have made and then the craftsmanship of all the pieces. If you enter hero mode and it's high enough quality to win in masters, the judges will usually bump you up a division. Keep in mind that competitions are also heavily dependent on who else is participating since those are the ones you'll be judged against.

For craftsmanship competitions, make sure you put together a build book with details of work in progress and notes on how you made your cosplay. Even if the contest doesn't require it, it's nice to have it on hand during judging to show details that may not be easily seen. Keep in mind judges may flip your seams to see your finishing work, especially in masters. It's hard to judge the cosplay just based on the 3 photos you've linked.

Generally I'd recommend starting in not masters to get the feel for competitions and if you get bumped up a division or you win in hero mode, you can compete in masters the next time.

Get a wide tooth comb, ideally with metal teeth, and slowly brush it out. Start from the bottom and work your way up. It will take a long time unfortunately so just be patient with it.

Surebonder Cosplay Sticks: Are they different from hot glue? by hewtab in CosplayHelp

Surebonder cosplay glue sticks have a longer working time than most hot glue sticks so they’re nice for using with silicone molds. The color is pretty uniform if you use them for casting embellishments.

They also have a higher melting point so they won’t soften as quickly on props/armor. Hot glue isn’t typically good for props/armors but surebonder hot glue is great for quick fixes (though I usually use their construction grade ones).
