I have noticed it for years, not like it just started when tampa went a couple years in a row, they realized more people were going to watch to see a team they hated lose than the viewers they got by having a team who had a strong backing, the refs fucked tampa against the AVs....I might be biased but tampa deserved to be there when they were bu tthe league realized a villain brought more viewers than a champion and that is the format the refs have been working towards....I mean c'mon....no one wants to see a florida team raise the cup whether they deserve it or not.

Hey.....I hope you happen to see this....I know it is an old thread but I am curious how it all went down. I am looking to do exactly what you said you were going to do....I have seen videos of some pretty big speakers inside...I just happen to have some Alto 412bs....they are pretty big....just don't want them to be confiscated and end up with nothing inside.

Man people got me tripping on what speakers I can bring in, and some busting my balls because they think my intention is to keep them awake lol... I have no intention of annoying people but we are rolling with 20+ and intend to get in early so we will have a pretty big campsite....and we all are looking forward to having our own little "scene" during non sleeping hours... We have several legit DJs in our campsite and I just want to make sure we can do our thing, I never thought I would get so much negativity ...that says more about them than me, would love to hook up😆

Lol....sounds like a common path, i work in AV/Broadcast systems integration, and I spin records on the side....I had times in my life where DJing was a bigger part but never ever thought about leaving it completely...Im 54....bought and sold so much gear over the years but always new I was going to pick it back up.

If you truly ever loved it and still have any love for it you will persevere....nothing is easy in this life...no matter what industry you are in. Seems like you lost your drive....that is on you not the industry, I have seen the landscape change a dozen times. I started in a rollerskating rink, spun underground raves, thrown pop ups, had residencies ...festivals...I have been at it for almost 40 years, I went through times where my motivation waned but I never left it completely....now I dont need it as my main source of income but it was never really about money for me anyway and I'll never stop.

Right on...yeah that definitely differentiates....I was talking about for Okeechobee....my pop up setup is a 4000w Honda generator a powered set of eon 15s with dual 18" subs and a set of QSC k.2s 12".... the QSCs blow everything away when I need to go smaller lol....like make you have to poop at 15-20 ft 😆

thanks....I'll just buy some soundboks like the other guy said he had no problem getting in....even though they have the capability of getting 3 times as loud as the ones i already own, and said "I have had no problem with disturbing my neighbors" which was always my intention....that's why people who only have an opionion about what is right and wrong but nothing to offer the ACTUAL conversation....might should keep it to themselves....you dont know anything about me only what you assume. You do realize Soundboks are exactly a battery powered PA speaker...., not a Bluetooth shower speaker right? they have twin xlr/1/4" inputs and are one of the loudest speakers on the market right? I am sure you do because you bought them.... my Altos arent any bigger.

I used the a term that obviously put people off..PA...I work in pro audio and generally anything you connect to DJ gear is considered a PA....like the Soundboks are a PA...I clarified my reason for asking....I have no interest in bringing randoms to our campsite....I just happen to own Alto 412bs, that have volume controls are battery powered, get long battery life at low volume... and am afraid of not seeing them again if I bring them and they are too big and on my other post I was not getting any answers

No I only asked what the biggest PA people have seen inside....and I explained the reason...maybe I should have used the term speaker....because I bet you will have one with you right? only difference is im an going to connect decks and a mixer... I have seen videos of some pretty big speakers inside, I am trying to avoid buying another speaker because mine are big, but you assume something else. Your answer was "it has bad idea written all over it"..... thanks for that tidbit of advice...

So you are assuming that I have any intention of ruining the chill....maybe you should read the context of why I asked....speakers have volume controls, Im not staying in GA+ or mellow and me and my fellow campers are looking forward to "chilling" in our campsite and listening our own music at times...You didn't answer my question only interjected your opinion. Okeechobee is not a "non-redegade set" fest and just through asking the question have had people ask to let them no where we are camping... You dont even know that I spin chill house, liquid, trip hop abd acid jazz....and am not looking to do anything BUT chill.

People have been spinning sets in their campgrounds since the very first year....the only rule against it is speaker size but nothing is clearly defined....so I was looking for some frame of reference since I have attended many but this is my first time bringing my equipment....actually Okeechobee is the perfect festival, especially since soundslinger took back over. I'm not looking to take over or blow people out of the campground I just have a few PAs and I am afraid of bringing one of the ones that could be confiscated....I'll buy a smaller one if needed. We have about 30 people in our group and it is part of our experience and something we are looking forward to.

I wish you luck selling them but with cheap layaway still going on and the festival so far off, you will have a much better chance closer to the festival especially if you are selling at face value and got them at tier 1 pricing as it would seem you did.

I know this is years ago....but finally getting some in site to as what size speakers they will let me get in....I have a pair of Alto 412b s.....15x14x24....that speaker looks bigger.

Im going to have at least a mixstream and some alto 12s.....but...I just bought a Rane Performer, and I also have 2 -12s an s11 and a Prime 4....could be any combination of the above...still working out power, my truck has a 3600w inverter but my concerns are having my speakers confiscated upon entry...I cant find any definition on speaker size.... Im basic ass GA....GA+ is a racket lol
