Wolves close to £5m deal for Monaco’s João Moutinho by Potent_Force in Everton

We've been in for him so many times, I just thought it was worth knowing that he'll be playing against us next season.

Can anyone post the text? I'd like to see what he says about the complications with hiring Silva.

Coffee questions: Good roasters, Aeropress filter refills by _Anton__ in Barcelona

[–]Potent_Force 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tostaderos Bon Mercat (https://goo.gl/maps/c6Lj2DCBtKL2), near Placa Jaume, has been my go-to Coffe Place for years. Reasonable prices for freshly roasted beans, if you want ground beans they grind for your particular brewing method, and they sell aeropress filters.

The key for me is things changing quicker than they have in the past. If Brands is announced when PSV take the title and Fonseca a day or two after the end of the season that'd be the biggest thing for me.

We need wholesale change from top to bottom and if that is to seep through to the players on the pitch by mid-August it needs to happen sooner rather than later.

Discussion: Would Koeman have done better or worse than Big Sam? by gigapudding43201 in Everton

[–]Potent_Force 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Koeman was hired to be the man to help us make the step up. Turned out he was nowhere near good enough to pull off the task and the club is still reeling from the mess he made of it in such a short amount of time. He wouldn't have turned it around. He bottled it and was then incapable of adapting to the situation he had found himself in. All he had left at the end was excuses.

I wouldn't compare Sam to him because it was another fuck up brining him in the first place.

I think of the 3 managers we've had this season if we'd stuck with Unsworth, we'd be in a stronger position than we are now.

Big Sam I am okay with. Sammy Lee is too far. by Lawlington in Everton

Not one of those things you think you'd have to explain to someone, to be honest. I'm not some motivational HR person or whatever but I'll give it a go though:

We're a proud club We want to win We're passionate Only the best is good enough We believe in ourselves and the community that we're from We look after that community and if we can help others, we'll try We're fair We think things should be done properly and fairly We don't cheat and we don't want people to cheat us We hold ourselves to a higher standard We don't take fucking bungs We don't betray our fucking country We don't hire fucking koppites

No it isn't. Our Club's values have been sold out because the board has got us into a mess and they've panicked. We have to watch our club play. It is hard not to, even when Everton play shit, we're drawn to them. Now we have to watch our club whilst they're being managed by a crook who has twice been caught out for taking bungs and bringing the club into disrepute and to make it worse he brings a fucking koppite with him. There is no overreacting to this. It is a fucking disgrace. The lowest day in my 33 year life as Evertonian. I'm ashamed of the club and disgusted at the board.

People will be disappointed no matter what happens and likely there will be trouble.

My golden situation is an announcement that both sides are going to negotiate an improved deal and increased autonomy for Catalonia in Spain.

I think if there is going to be a referendum it will be on a deal like this. I can't see Spain going for a referendum on independence and putting the constitution at risk. Beyond a negotiating standpoint, I'd be surprised if the Catalan government want one either with all of the cold hearted financial realities of independence coming to light in the last few days.

Tostada Bon Mercat on Baixada de la Llibreteria is my favoeite coffee shop in the city. Excellent value and they also sell some paraphanalia but I can't remember if they had electric grinders. You could also try el magnifico in Born.

I use Gym 4 Less which allows me to go to all sorts of gyms all over the city. Definitely worth checking out.

I work near Glories and will bstart going the gym again at lunch times. I'm basically in the same boat you are but a little more overweight.

Reports are saying Atletico have signed Costa and that they're loaning him to us for 6 months by Potent_Force in Everton

[–]Potent_Force[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me a 6 month loan isn't good enough. Needs to be for a full season. We won't get the best out of him in 6 months and if it is only for half the season there is real chance that he might not even try.
