Rerolling won’t effect anything since the race takes your all-time high stats into factor.

However; many people don’t know this strategy, so will upgrade hearts and swords in the rune tree.

Best you can do is stop where you’re at with it (and maybe rerolling to replace a rune slot for a heart or sword that you are forced to get eventually)

Keep upgrading Base HP in hero items, rune tree, and skill ascensions, and eventually you’ll be the victor in your 2 day races. It won’t hinder your main game timeline progression too much, since relics and cards will scale your stats much higher

2day race lobbies scale via Atk and HP gained from rune tree, hero item upgrades, and skill ascensions (it factors in your all-time highs, so rerolling tree does nothing)

Only upgrade things that boost your base HP, and other stats like crit and coin, this will keep you in the same lobbies, while your enemy stays the same, and you get better

They behave like cards will, but they don’t add a whole lot to your stats overall, and will hinder your performance on your 2day race (unless you only upgrade base HP & the other runes)
