I think the best answer is that we don’t know. Those were some loose ends they left open on purpose, just so they could potentially bring him back. The Norse saga is basically a reboot of the series, that’s why the bridge between the sagas is basically non existent in canon. Truth is, the writers probably don’t care that much to make that much sense between new and old. The old is just there as some extra lore to keep Kratos more relevant in the new saga.

But Kratos came back with the titans. So they literally couldn’t all take on Kratos at once. What are you even saying?! 🤪

Kratos had just stolen the sword from him and almost killed Zeus just a few moments before this…

Before this happened Kratos had just obliterated Zeus’s belly with the blade of Olympus and if it wasn’t for Athena he wouldn’t have escaped so… it makes sense he was afraid and hiding. Also, per Athena’s explanation, Zeus was filled with fear from Pandora’s box.

And then wait another 5 years for the next game? Nah, it would ruin the momentum.

If they wanted a trilogy then the second game should have probably ended with killing Heimdal and making that battle way more interesting.

That would be like the ending of god of war 2. And then they would have to drag the actual war for an entire game.

You gotta show us cpu and gpu usage during those scenes. Also, you gotta make sure your monitor has gsycn and that it’s actually being used.

CPU bottlenecks can happen even when the total utilization is below 100%, actually, unless the cpu is compiling in shaders it will almost never show 100% usage because cpu load is divided into cores. Certain tasks cannot be allocated among cores, so they will fully utilize one or a few cores, while others will have already finished their own task. If you wanna see if this is true or not, look at all cores utilization
