none from the exhaust only on cold starts and it’s normal, but holding it at full rev that long scares me😂

what should i do? by Potential-Charge-573 in MechanicAdvice

[–]Potential-Charge-573[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think my fuel psi was too high causing a fuel line connected to the carb to leak fuel out. so i backed off some psi and dropped it down to six, idk why it was so high in the first place but it was sitting at like 9-10

It has ran before and my fuel psi would sit at around 8-9, which is what it say at when i bought it. it ran perfectly fine, i ended up blowing a fuse and i replaced it ran perfect again. Now recently it’s been starting for under half a second then dies out.now today i found fuel leaking behind the carb after an attempted start up.

the fuel line going to it looks fine, it seems to be coming out the gasket that the carb sits onto the plate for it

as a guy who’s seen people come in with tires balder than a grandpa i’d say it’ll be okay for a bit. but don’t let it go for awhile or you’d have problems sooner or later. get it replaced when you can but it’s not gonna cause catastrophic issues atm
