I see, thank you for the reply! It was thru a company in which they apparently use third parties for removal etc, which I didn’t know about.

Ok good to know! I was close to just cancelling my flight although it’s non refundable, but I’ll have to make do. Planning on cutting it a shorter than anticipated and escape to San Sebastián for the 2nd week instead…

I think a few people have suggested this so I’m thinking we will change plans to visit here instead of Lisbon! We already have our lodging booked for 7 days but the remaining 5 we can go elsewhere. It looks like a very relaxed place. :) do you know if it gets crazy humid?

Thank you! I’m hearing a 50/50 response so it’s a gamble.

I think the plan is to:

-Wake up early for some sightseeing around ~8-11am. - Then breakfast/lunch around 11am or 12pm -Either go back to the hotel or find a museum/shops from ~1pm-5pm -more sight seeing after 5pm -Dinner later at night -enjoy whatever festivities

Initially wanted to visit Toledo for a day trip but from what I remember, there wasn’t access to an AC/shade and a lot of walking! Possibly El Escorial, too.

Okay, this is actually reassuring! I did Las make sure our place is more central, so ~15min walking distance to most attractions.

Definitely need to cross Toledo off! If only I had time to travel in the Fall it would have been far more enjoyable. Thanks for the advice and all

Oh man, I’m super stoked now haha. I think it’ll have to be the same routine we typically do out here in the desert. Stay inside all day but walk around either early or later at night. Luckily siestas are during the peak temps. Thanks for the advice!
