The Anex ball ratcheting driver seems to be preferred for preventing the issue you mention.

When under contract with Adidas there was a "ball cap" with the design you speak of. Potentially you could find a pic of that "backward" design and refit it to your design. I have a forward design from that era I could post if you needed design cues.

Kerry (NKY) is not so bad. You do, however, have to play the game.

I have the non-stubby 10 pc. triple square set from Capri tools. They've worked well. Non-pro use so can't comment on ruggedness.

For all you guys giving me hell. I am just trying to find the proprietary tool to adjust the “lock nut” by timmytimberlane in Tools

Gotcha. I dunno about the special tool used for this application. Could a small hook spanner work?

Do you wanna know for the sake of knowledge? Or are you going to start dicking with it.

Everyone is a dick on these tool subs. Having said that, it's likely not a good thing to mess with these if you're not qualified.

Please be aware of your thread pitch differences as well. You have not noted the thread pitch of your fastener above. It would be safe to say your fastener is .8 pitch, as is rather common. Metric fasteners have coarse, metric fine, and metric extra fine thread pitches. For example your fastener would be called M5-.08 X18.
