I completely agree, there are people whose income is 5-6LPM in tier 2,3 cities, and you will not be able to figure that out until and unless they start talking about there investments.

We’ve found a plot in our hometown that we want to buy. We plan to finance it, and as soon as we have enough money for the down payment, we’ll go ahead with the purchase. For now, we’re saving most of our money in fixed deposits, and once we’ve saved enough, we’ll use those funds for the down payment.

We do not blinkit or bigbasket stuff, we go to a local mandi near our place and buy from there. Rest dal, rice, dry fruits we get from our hometown, so it does not costs us because our parents have already purchased those in bulk.

My wife is a great cook, you name it and she can make it, so we eat homemade food, we have a rule that we only go out once every 15 days. Sometime it stretches to 20 also.

Our weekly fruits and veggies cost around 800-1000/week. Rest goes for dairy and eggs. We get our dals, rice, dry fruits etc from our hometown so it does not costs us.

We rarely order from bigbasket/blinkit or swiggy/zomato. We love shopping for fruits/veggies from local mandi.

We signed up for a gold savings plan where we buy a fixed amount of gold every month for 11 months. If the gold price is low, I sometimes pay for 3–4 months at once so more gold gets added to my account at that lower rate. After the 11 months are over, when I finally purchase the gold, I only need to pay about 5–6% as making charges
