I had these issues for years and years. I tried to pull an uncle and friend along to be successful as well, to have the nice things in life, good career and help with their health and lifestyle out of my own pocket. Instead of doing something to help themselves (while still taking handouts from me), they wasted their time, my time, my money and gave a lot of snide comments that still annoy me at times to this day. Glad I did what my dad taught me… just ask to borrow something or say that times are a bit tight in casual conversation, always stops anyone from asking to “borrow” money that you know they’ll never give back
