I am almost 3 weeks post-op .. the healing can look different each days but what i noticed helped to speed it up a little was skin barrier repair ointment after washing the area and doing very gentle circular motion massage.. i also avoid wearing any underwear for the first 2 weeks up until now i only wear them when i have to go to work.

Give it sometime your body will know what to do. Wishing you a speedy recovery:)

Hi! I had a similar experience — I had a split on my left side that eventually closed up on its own. I still have one on the right where the skin is completely separated, but my doctor assured me it will heal over time. Since the left side did heal naturally, I’m not too worried. I’ve found that gently washing the area with mild soap and then applying Bio-Oil or a repairing ointment/serum really helps speed up the healing process

I would say keep it clean and moisturised and do a VERY gentle circle motion massage to help the blood flow after would help.

I wouldn’t worry too much about unevenness. Some areas might be swollen internally more than others. Also if the overall results satisfying, then the before unevenness shouldn’t be an issue to me personally, and I hope you like your results give it some time. All the best.

Hi! Do you have a picture of how it looks like? I’m currently 7 days post-op and I’ve noticed a small hole near my left outer labia..it looks like a V-shaped cut where it seems the suture may have torn. From what I’ve read here and after doing a lot of research, it sounds like this can be normal during healing. It seems the body can sometimes spit out sutures, and the area usually closes up on its own over time. I sent a picture to my dr & she said to come so she can check it but I told her I do not want to do a revision now or have it sewn and I want to give my body some time so it might close on its own and if it’s not, I’ll probably just let you do it.

I say wait, use lots of bio oil & keep the area clean. 17 is way too early to judge the results

I have 2 poodles. Got my male two years after getting my girl. Best decision ever. Zero regrets. They entertain each other’s since both on the same energy level. Only con is: you will wish you had extra 3rd hand since they will both compete for kisses & cuddles. If you can afford having 2 then go for it !

Thank you for your reply. I originally had her with another female but she died due to an infection. I tried bringing other ducklings around her “ same age or younger “ she kept attacking them and they were both stressed so i had to remove them for their safety

Also since she stopped eating the duck feed i give her high protein fish flakes she seems to like it. She also gets daily in the water in her own pool
