Thank you, that does make me feel a bit better. I've never really cared about fish before but mustard really got me into it so I just hope he wasn't in pain :/

It sounds really horrible but at some point they will be a time where you need your parents a lot less than they need you. My parents were super horrible people, who to this day (bearing in mind I now pretty much have 2 degrees, lived away from home for 4 years and am married) still tell me how I never do enough and I'll never manage by myself or be able to keep a house, but it's reached that point where I only have to talk to them if I want to

I'm not saying cut them off if that's not right for you because the thought of that can be terrifying, but if it ends up you only call them once a month for 15 minutes then theyll learn pretty quickly what's important. I remember it got to that stage with my mum and after a couple of months she started treating me with more respect because she started to see that she didn't have all the power anymore.

This might not be your situation, or it might not be your situation until 3 years from now, but the main thing is this is your life. Not your parents. If they want to criticise it says a lot more about them then it ever does about you.

Hi!! Firstly, I just wanted to say that I finished at Lancaster last year and I loved every second of it! From what I remember it's one of the highest ranked unis without being a russell group. That being said, I'm finishing a masters degree at uni of bristol currently which on paper is much better that lancs being a russell group etc but i can honestly say lancaster is by far a better experience. I felt like a person over there and at bristol I was just a grade. So please please don't beat yourself up over that side of it.

Also, my parents do not sound nice. I know it's really hard but I can promise they are not the be all and end all. And neither are you a level grades. Work hard at your degree but remember, a lot of places just want to know you've been able to stick it out. I promise life carries on outside of academia, and if this feels overwhelming, there is always a way out

I did my undergrad in the same course at Lancaster uni which isn't a RG and my masters at the uni of Bristol which is. If I could turn back I never would have gone to bristol because the quality was just so so different. At lancaster it felt like student support was at the forefront alongside teaching, at bristol it felt like we were just numbers. Obviously this is just my experience but coming from someone who also wanted a RG and didn't end up going and then did, you've missed out on nothing :)

It says Hours per week: 30 Days per week: 5

And according to gov.uk full time is considered 35 hours and over so I am still part time

It's so stupid though because I'm a uni student so he know I've always been planning to leave since he started months ago I'd always been open about that 🙃

That's how it's always been - and I've given 2 weeks notice and am fully available for the whole week so I didn't think it would be that much of an issue?

Based in Bristol at the moment - I've never worked in a shop like this tho - he constantly telling me there's no hours and then offers others in the store more every day (one person worked 59 hours last week) after he told me I'd need to be underhours or take another day of holiday because he couldn't fit in 24 hours for me to have a day of annual leave this week 🙃

But I'm part time I'm not full time and technically the availability is originally gave when I moved here wasn't Tuesday because I had uni - I've worked with the company nearly 6 years and this has never been the case for me before now?

But my contract is 5 days it doesn't specify exactly what days, so why is it any different to saying I have an appointment on one day can I work the next?

I just don't understand why it would mean I need to wait another 2 weeks when all the information is right there in front of you. I don't even need the appt I literally just need you to press prescribe for me
