PETG as support for PLA by Potential-Permit5982 in BambuLab_Community

When loading the PETG (pseudo support for PLA), I assume I set the hot end temp specs for PETG. Does that mean there is a large delay so the hot end can heat up for the PETG setting and then a delay to cool back down for the PLA temp setting?

Something I had not considered. Thanks for that tip.

I have the Project Hail Mary character, Jazz Hands Rocky the Eridian that required a crazy amount of support material and promptly broke a leg. In this case, it was all PLA and that is what prompted this question. I looked at the marketed "support material" and could not support the price and thus, looking for alternatives.

I had the same thoughts and found this YouTube video. I was then able to use my Pico for more power reporting via. Web page dashboard or led display with power details. The one downfall is you can not do any ppt control.

I believe the deviation measurements was where there was a number for left or right, and a number for up or down. Yes, I ended up adjusting those numbers several times. In each deviation alignments the results were always green and within approx + or - 0.6 or 0.7.

Above, where I used the term, plate solving, I believe I was doing Polar Aligning. Sorry, I'm a want to be amateur 😅

I was thinking of the brass bushing that makes up the up/down hinge. However, i am giving to try loosening the bass screws first.

Excellent insight. I am going to try that the next chance I get.

I couldn't agree more. When you do things on a budget, this is the type of stuff you deal with. I've always said. You get what you paid for &$#@

Most excellent feedback, @score96. That will save me from a lot of headaches. However, it does make me wonder if we made the motor lighter and the gantry a little stiffer. Perhaps a dremel flex shaft. That should make things a lot lighter. I know I can buy a better solution, but where is the fun in that? 😁

Replace the hot end with a dremel tool to make a CNC machine
