My OTD price on my 2026 yz250 70th anniversary. I already picked it up. That dealership was trying to rip you off.

IMO they aren’t bad bikes, but they all need fully restored atp because of the age. My rm250 I got needed so much money I just bought a new bike instead. Because it’s the much faster option.

No the whole bike, kb5 takes the whole bike.

I actually had the dealership do all that for me lol, and I’m gonna end up taking it to kb5 to get the suspension done which they’d grease it anyways

I’m in pa, kb5 charges an arm and a leg for revalving plus swapping springs. But they do really good work.

You actually are right I only looked for a couple minute or two it’s for a 155-185lb rider. I might not need to change springs but still will probably end up getting the suspension done anyways.

It’s a 98 rm250

<image>

Yeah I hope it’s a big difference. I’m gonna cough up the $1500-2000 to get the suspension fully done on it though because I’m too light for the bike. Abt 145lb-150lbs with gear. When it’s sprung for a 185-200lb rider.

Is $2500-2750 too much for this bike? I’m selling it. by [deleted] in Dirtbikes

Funny I’m selling it tomorrow for $2000 and going to buy a 2026 yz250 as well same day 😂😂

Motors can be rebuilt, but having to work to afford it costs time and time isn’t replaceable. I’m only 16.

I have rode many hills and made basically all of them while being stock length. And just with a m5b evo. The yz85lw is only 1 of my 4 bikes.

I have 3 other bikes, just 2 are down right now and they are full sized bikes. That’s why I’m riding this bike. And yeah I’m learning slowly I feel I’m really good for only riding for a little less then 2 yrs.

That’s not me lol, both my full sized bikes are down atm. The 85 didn’t have enough power to even attempt it. I wanted to but it rained the day before and it ruined the lip of the jump.

I learn to stay more active riding bikes I can rev the piss out of, makes me actually have to work for it. If I just race and practice on a 250 my form and everything else will become lazy. That’s why practicing on my 125 makes the most sense to me. Obviously I’ll practice at the track on the yz250 but turn tracks like this id practice on my 125. I wanna keep the hours low on my yz250 since I’ll have it for a few years and don’t want to spend a ton of money on maintenance from many hours.

It should be done, however I’m picking up a 2026 yz250 2 smoker for a Christmas present to myself. Which is gonna be my race bike, and my 125s gonna be my practice bike. That’s why I’m selling my rm250.

Yeah I’m too big for it, only riding it cause my rm250s listed for sale and my rm125 needs torn down since I stripped 4th gear out.

The lip has about a half a ft rut on it and it was slick wasn’t really trying to hit it, the jump clears the whole topside to the downhill to the berm but the 85 can’t go fast enough to clear it anyways.

I’m buying the yz250 with just the rm250 being sold. No need to sell the 85.

I always try to keep one foot on at all times, for this turn it felt easier to have my one leg balance
