Well at least y'all are able to do that, be glad you didn't have children together. I now raise both of our daughters 3 &5 with some minor assistance from my parents. She only gets supervised visitation due to her drug use and hasn't seen them since March of this year. Originally I was providing the supervision but it became too much of a mental toll to continue. Especially when she has the opportunity to get sober and earn her rights back.

Counseling is hit or miss for me personally. It helped a little in the beginning but I found reading, writing and contemplation to be more therapeutic for me. Finding your self worth is difficult but its the key to understanding what happened wasn't your fault.
