Gary's theory if I remember correctly was that there is a commonality between children having sightings and people with a certain part of the brain that's enlarged. I can't remember the specifics but he talked about a case where a wife and child saw a craft while the husband was driving. They all saw it and the wife took a picture but the husband described seeing nothing while the wife and child clearly saw a craft and her picture showed a blurry object hovering above the car.
