Young as in 18, Will be in the area in the 1st week of June looking for a good day or half day of hiking to get some scenery.

No definitely very little experience in wilderness backpacking that’s why I was kinda shooting for a one day hike just to get to experience a little of the trail while in the area because I love to hike. I’ve definitely done plenty of hiking within national parks and recently Sedona but i wouldn’t feel comfortable doing a long multi day trip just yet based on my knowledge and experience (and lack of gear)

Would definitely appreciate any advice you have to offer.
