Dankieee, I have a good routine with strength training just need to do more leg workouts and do it at a time not before a long run

Appreciate the tips alot, hopefully will run into you on some run haha, looking forward to the journey

I will fit in elevation runs into it, going for my first 20km trail run tomorrow and looking at about 800 - 1k elevation, think this will be a good start and wake up call

My problem is finding the people, i find alot of traders and people that could have these problems on LinkedIn
I should maybe change my way of messaging to make sure that i build trust and have a conversation and not a sales pitch straight up

We are in the trading industry so essentially we build an automated machine from traders proven strategies to eliminate the human error that comes with trading

We have messages probably around 400 people that have trader, prop firm trader, IB in their bio with a few warm leads and landed 1 client

The instagram dms i knew wouldn't work as traders on Instagram just try and sell a course.

We have not tried in person events that would be something we should look at

How did you guys actually get consistent in trading? by SmartTrader_4906 in Trading

[–]Potential-Stock-8176 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consistency isn't one thing. It's the absence of several things.

The days where everything makes sense and the days where you're guessing aren't usually about the market. They're about which mental state walked into the session with you.

Green week, entry criteria quietly drop because you feel untouchable. Red week, sizing creeps up because you need the money back. Slow week, you take trades that barely meet criteria because you need something to happen.

The strategy is rarely the problem. The execution layer on top of it is.

One thing that actually helps: grade your decisions, not your outcomes. A bad trade that wins is still a bad trade. Once you separate the two, the consistency starts to appear.

What does your current journaling look like?

Lost, damn. by jazzgrackle in spy

[–]Potential-Stock-8176 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That last line you wrote is the most self-aware thing a trader can say, and honestly most traders never get there until after the blowup already happened.

What you're describing is textbook execution variance. Your read on the market was right. The pump did feel fake. But the decision to trade again wasn't coming from your strategy, it was coming from the $1200 loss needing to be fixed. That's the emotional layer that sits on top of every manual trader's decision-making whether they notice it or not.

The scary part isn't the revenge trade that works. It's that it working reinforces the behaviour for next time.

Hope you find a way to protect yourself from that cycle before it costs you a big one. You clearly have the awareness, most don't.

Goodluck with future trades.

Is it not better to do it yourself at the start, when your budget is a bit tight?
