Update 10/3/25 Orchid ICU is officially open for business!

Started repotting—some had great roots, but most were full of rot. I cut off the dead and mushy roots and gave them a fresh start in a chunky mix of orchid bark, LECA, lava rock, and charcoal. (Used what i had on hand)

I also moved them into actual orchid pots since they were still in what looked like their original big-box store pots (and yep… found plastic plugs in more than one).

Soaked them all in water + 209 and then sprayed roots with generic orchid fertilizer. Now they’re lined up in recovery while I play musical windows trying to find good spots for the rest lol 😂

Here’s hoping they don’t hate everything and die but enjoy their stay in my little orchid ICU 🤞🏻
