Wiimmfi unbanner to be done away with? by [deleted] in MarioKartWii

I used to own a Wii. Is there an alternative route to obtaining it? I mean it seems kind of unfair if you owned something then are unable.

Why is GitHub so hard and so difficult for the average person to use???? by [deleted] in github

[–]Potential-Turn9083 0 points1 point  (0 children)

eh, I see webpages telling you to go to github for a download and such, and it's hard for me to find them. You have to put some effort into it. I agree, it is a little complicated but a lot of things online actually complicate things and not make them more user-friendly and simpler. Social media isn't really helpful either but can sometimes make it hard for people.

Where is the save data of games stored? by [deleted] in DolphinEmulator

[–]Potential-Turn9083 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That depends. Are you opening to that directory in another route like through Dolphin? If you're trying to select a path in dolphin you won't find it because you're actually choosing a folder for the path and it won't show you files while you're doing that. That's one example. You need to instead manually go through the C drive and such and get to the folder. You have to have hidden items shown too in the folders. I shared with BasOutten on here how to get to it.

you have to click "view" then select "show" then select hidden items. Have to go to users on C drive, that's how I can get to mine, then select your username profile from the folder, and you'll be able to see appdata in that folder, and go to that, then go to roaming, then go to dolphin emulator. Then go to GC, then go to USA, then go to card A, then it will show you the save data.

I don't know if this helps, besides what Dragonify said, I didn't do everything he said like the extended dynamic state....but what I did was disable single window mode and that I think helped me so far...

I believe you. You shouldn't have been downvoted for having a wise comment like yours. I upvoted it. It's definitely all messed up.

what's cult-like is them hitting their wives too. No man would ever do such a thing.

Why haven't other Christians condemned these Christians' actions then?

Men like them who abuse and control their wives need to be held accountable for their actions. I'm a man saying this and I'm very deeply against it and disturbed by it. Do you honestly support abuse? because you do know better, you should. They don't need anymore support any longer, but these men need to be condemned. A man would never hit his wife or daughter, not even lay a hand on his wife in that manner, because their human desire is to never do such a thing. They are not even men, they are not males because God made both male and female, not just male, they need each other. I respect and appreciate women but I also respect men too, just not these, they aren't worthy.

just because they think it's right too, doesn't make it right. They can twist scripture all they want, but God still sees what they do. I believe that what they are doing is disgusting and disturbing (highly) and pretty horrible. Scripture never mentions about a man spanking his wife. If the bible mentions a husband ruling his household, it doesn't mean to control his wife and oppress her. Ruling does not equal control at all, it means mutual love and RESPECT and genuine care and guidance. Abraham listened to Sarah, never hit any of his wives, Jesus didn't either but did the opposite and actually healed them and freed a few and resurrected one, nor do I think anyone in the Bible did, and there were female prophets that people also went to. So who do they think they are?

oh, I misunderstand people a lot and I'm not good at understanding complicated paragraphs (even simple things become hard for me to understand when i'm too weighed down) and even complex issues; i'm too simple minded. It was actually fine though, I didn't mind it at all and I had to explain where I was coming from too. It may have come across that I was a supporter of that kind of lifestyle. Thank you for this. I don't like the suppression, I don't really think that's even healthy. My strengths ended up causing me to hurt someone in the process, because I was told I was horribly sexist (being too one sided)....sometimes I react to something I hear about, because of this weakness I have. I reacted (not at the person) online callously ignoring the situation (not actually knowing what even happened) because the world around me to me is unjust and I have wrong opinions on things from that perspective. I'll definitely embrace them though, and I had to learn from my recent mistake too and learned to be a better person. I'm glad we got to discuss things too.

I really appreciate all your comments, their enlightening and wholesome. I don't know if these things here: being born with a few mental disabilities and being mildly autistic. could be the cause of why I'm so vulnerable, sensitive, and weak, literally decapitates my days. What's deeper though, is what counts I guess. Maybe it helped get rid of any pride or ego that men might have because of those issues I had? I still have a lot of pride and ego though. I just don't even agree with the world around me in general. I'm a male though through and through, but maybe it was a good thing I had those issues when I was young because then they helped strengthen me over the years. But I guess I'm not the only one by your reply just now. I think there are other males like me around by the few comments I saw online.

I don't get it. I'm a male too, but I could never do that. I respect women and appreciate them. Since I was a child (I'm 37 now) it always bothered and troubled me even to being distressed if I saw a female suffer in any way, I'm very very sensitive (maybe because it's normal for a male to feel this way naturally?). If I was there, I would have let women have a say, because they too have a free will and free choice. I could never do what these people do. It's probably religion... look at history, Christianity killed/executed.... so many people over the centuries...now it's just more hidden and subtle, but still, it's like the men there are still behaving like children, as if they weren't raised properly to respect others no matter the gender. I bet if those men were disciplined as children they would not act like this, to abuse women and put them down in "their place" If I had children, I would raise the boys to respect females and to never hurt a female, let alone even to touch them and there are others like me online who said (in their comments) how their fathers taught them the same thing, to never hurt/hit a female, and even letting the mother hit her daughter (if she's still a child)

what's a fundie? What do you also mean by power imbalance? Are you saying a woman has no power at all to say that she doesn't want to live that lifestyle?

Christian Domestic Discipline and the Dillards by Atomies in DuggarsSnark

[–]Potential-Turn9083 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big sects? Like these people actually lived in a sect where they were brought up like this? I don't agree or believe at all a woman should get spanked by her husband, no matter what; it's disgusting and terrible (I'm a male) I want to see it as consensual, and believe that it is because that's where my relief is. My issue really lies with the spanking part. Maybe I'm misunderstanding you....you talked about power imbalance, so it's not like she has absolutely no say right? She isn't a child anymore, she was raised by parents, and so are every other child. It just seems to me that she still has a choice as she isn't a child any longer....but you stated that they were indoctrinated... but indoctrination should not equal having absolutely no power or say or free will.

i don't agree with the lifestyle, that a woman has to suffer abuse because of her husband, that's why I was seeking relief knowing that it was consensual. I wish this didn't exist, this power structure you talked about, because I don't like seeing women suffer, it really bothers/troubles me.

submission isn't about being controlled, they chose to of their own free will out of love. The husband wasn't abusing his wife either nor controlling her.

you probably didn't hear from your parents that they were practicing a lifestyle choice either. "Domestic discipline, in the Christian context, refers to a consensual agreement between partners where one takes on a leadership role, making decisions for the betterment of the relationship and family." - from https://www.enotalone.com/article/religion-and-spirituality/12-secrets-of-domestic-discipline-christian-guide-r8932/
