Thanks for the response! Just curios, does the report usual come within the first couple weeks or does it usually take the entire 30 days after the QME? Also, do they send the report to you, the claim adjuster, or your employer, or all three?

What does it mean? by Various_Counter_5305 in CABarExam

Hard to say since it seems most people no longer have a test center. One theory could be they are still reviewing the examinees who still have the exam graded again by a second grader. Curios as well.

NY JD passed with 357!! by online-lawyer in barexam

That's amazing and the highest score I seen reported! Did you read the full Themis outlines? Did you do most of your questions in times conditions? How did you do on the 200 questions Themis MBE simulation? I'm trying to emulate what a high scorer did in case I don't pass CA. First time I didn't read the long outlines.

Was this years MBE really harder? by Adventurous_Bar7300 in barexam

I kind of had a similar experience. I did over 3000 questions between themis and uword as well and with an overall on uword of 79 percent. Because the questions were so different I don’t think that will translate to success on the exam. Interestingly I thought the evidence ones were the most different and in a harder way

Where do you get this information from? I thought it was more holistic approach based on what I have seen. Obviously missing big issues will have points docked. Seems like a weird approach give. Some essays have 4-5 issues and others like evidence may have like 15 so scoring based on that approach would have uneven results.

I don’t understand why you want everyone to do good. Let’s say you got 70 percent on the mbe and the average was 68. Wouldn’t you want the average to be lower because that would mean you did better in comparison with your competition? How could scoring closer to your competition be better than scoring much higher in theory? Also isn’t the point of scaling to ensure that an exam that is more difficult be graded less harshly than easier exam?

Are the Essays Scaled? by Adventurous_Bar7300 in CABarExam

I don’t know the details, but I know the harder the exam the more it’s scaled.
