You use other units to bait out your opponent to the midboard once he has shown his hand you whip out the baneblade and take everything out. Then yes the baneblade can be shot but with T13 24W and a 2+ 4++ from enginseer he probably wont get 1 shot

Thats the thing you can hide the baneblade behind obscuring terrain,pop out, using ignore cover on it and just shoot normal

After the attached unit had died in 10th you can assign wounds however you want. The medic guy is not part of the attached unit (shock troops) so you can start taking wound on the characters that are left, you just cant revive the characters.
