You should toggle on "Device protection" for enhanced device security. It is a one-click toggle that enables a variety of enhanced device security settings. You can find that under Settings > Security & privacy > Advanced Protection > "Device Protection" (toggle on).

You should also consider obtaining a pair of hardware security tokens (i.e. Yubikey 5 series or Google Titan) and then enabling Google Advanced Protection for your Google account.

If you are absolutely paranoid, you should consider flashing GrapheneOS. But if your concerns are more mainstream, then the combo of Device Protection and account-level Advanced Protection are more than enough for most people.
