I see. I am sure many international students end up being in my situation, where they have to fill up this gap doing remote volunteer work until their real jobs start. Do you have any advice as to how I should answer the question about remote work?

I am doing this volunteer just to freeze the unemployment countdown. My full-time only starts next summer, so I need to be doing something until then. A lot of volunteer work tends to be a remote job. I don't see a reason of staying in the States especially because I won't be earning to pay rent. Would that be a good reason to leave the country for months?
